RE: Invasion West Coast!

<t> Let's talk about the bitter end for a minute. Assume Lowpe loses all his troops - how catastrophic is that? I've never played Japan, so I don't have a sense of where they'd be deployed, or what they should be doing at this point of the game. How does that change if he gets half of the troops out ...

RE: The Good The Bad & The Indifferent

<t> Approximately when are you planning to invade Wake Island? Do you have any sense of what the USN:IJN CV ratio will be at that time? Could you continue your advance if you lose this fight? Finally, to Bullwinkle's point, could John do anything decisive at Kwaj while your carriers are off station ...

The Intrepid is absolutely worth it! IIRC, it's not close to any easy public transportation, so be prepared to cab / Uber / Lyft to and fro.

I went during Fleet Week, and they had a Slava class cruiser visiting next door. Cool ship, but it had carpeting all over the place.

Staying on top of device upgrades

<t> I'm in January '43 of a GC AI game, and I'm working my way through the USA and USMC squad upgrades. Does anyone have any good practices for staying on top of upgrades, making sure that new stuff is making it to your LCUs? <br/>

Still, what stands out to me is the 65 auxiliary. Some of those have got to actually be fighters.

Don't damaged aircraft show up as auxiliary? Did I make that up?

Does anyone else feel the same way about patrol points?

Yes, I feel the same way. I *think* waypoint selection also brings you back to the TF location - I would be happy if that behavior changed as well.

RE: 1944 September 19

<r> Sure. Like I said, I use this spreadsheet to help build Amphibious TFs w/ APs / xAPs and AKs / xAKs (in other words, before true assault shipping hits the scene). I load one unit per TF, so I know exactly where each unit goes, all w/ the goal to unload everything in one turn. It seems to work ...
