I think he's saying that when he added the new colony, corruption increased a small amount at all of his other colonies, and that combined loss was more than the revenue he got from the new colony.

Is that right?

such as a maximum number of ships/bases the game will allow you to have?

baring my computer bursting into flames ([:D]) would the game allow you to have tens of thousands of ships or more?

i don't think there a way to do either of the things you are asking yet. i would kind of like to get rid of independent colonies too sometimes. maybe an idea for a future patch?

resources are unlimited. the percentages is just how fast you mine that resource (100% is twice as fast as 50%,ect).

i put tons of mining components, more shields and docking stations, and some guns on my mining stations. they may cost more in maintenance, but i need less of them, and they last longer that way[;)]
