I have seem the same with Humans and Terra. To begin with it made sense as my ships could barely get there, but even after I had enough shields/engines to get there, I still couldn't colonize it.

It is usually in a nebula that somehow inhibits colonization range. What does your "new colony" overview say? I believe you can get a tooltip there.

I noticed when I left personal location to the AI, that I NEVER had ambassadors in any other empire, everyone of them was always in transit. Tourism only makes money for the AI. Resort bases are a net drain for players.

You find it under armor, or all items. But yes, the auto design is using it poorly :/

Show resource shotfalls in ship designer. So we can easily make a choice of components to avoid resources scarce in our empires.

That is already a thing. You can see the resource needed in teh Ship Designer, right side, just scroll down.

There is a addtional Recommndation if you lack sources ...

Yeah, you will always make a lot of money building private spaceships, but it isn't counted in. And what is worse is that you will have ever increasing money pool if you have a 'by the book' surplus.

And for the love of X. Let us define new ship roles. This was a problem with DW1 too, it is hard to combine the automatic upgrading with partiall manual designs, unless we get to define a new unique line of ships, which requires creating a new role.

Put a cooldown on rebellions. So they don't happen nonstop when moral is negative.

Consider invasions done shortly after eachother the same invasion. Or start the fighting slightly delayed. In some circumstances each troop carrier could be defeated on their own, leading to multiple failed invasions ...

It also creates some very odd results with colonization where ANY new colony before they get resources that improves morale will have negative morale, and INSTANTLY rebel. I had 4 colonies in a row rebel a few days after being settled because I had negative reputation.

Give us an empire view that tells things about our own empire. In particular races and their distribution seems to be completely missing, though you can see it for foreign empires.

One thing I remember from DW1 is how important it is to manually design space ports. I already noticed the AI forget to use counter-measures, or the best PD guns. Best tip I've seen so far is to warp them into the other side of the system from the enemy, let them all arrive then issue a move command. This will be easier if/when we get queued movement commands.

Yeah, this is also a relevant question midgame. The AI starts suggesting building bases VERY far away or for minor resources. Could such bases be a drain, and should I stop agreeing to such suggestions? (I already refuse when I notice it, but it is a mess).

Yeah, seems to be missing.

Also missing is asking for technology in peace deals. The AI will offer it, but the user can only ask for bases because we have bad relations during wars :D

Also I don't think allies is working, even at +100 with smaller empires, nobody seems interested.
