I agree that the early turtle strategy was almost certainly never going to happen, Hitler wouldn't have any of it. But a premature surrender with the Red Army hundreds of miles east of Berlin also doesn't sit right with me.

Saper222 - the Soviet defense against the Finns in the north does not require any more than the starting Soviets in the area. The Finns cannot move until GT 4 so all you need to do is slow them down another 5 or 6 turns up there and that ...

RE: Different CV

Is it not a case of the CR showing the nominal CV and the 4.4 is with fatigue and so on? Meaning that the CV 5 in the CR is what the unit would have in a best case, that is the way I've always figured it.

RE: 2nd question RE reserves

Well, thas wasn't the point though Pelton. Leningrad can be captured by frontal assault also.

The point was that the tactic isn't SHC specific as it can be used by germans as well =).

I'd probably even say that the Germans, historically, did a lot better than they should have on paper. So perhaps the victory line should be somewhere in 1944 to make the game more competitive.

RE: Razing the Reich (No Pelton)

An OOB would be nice and shouldn't be of any real use to Pelton.

Also, maybe some pool numbers (averages or from a few turns back or so) unless you feel too uncomfortable with that considering Pelton is quite good at guesstimating growth per turn.

In all my games it has always just been AGS to AGS/AGA. Never seen AGB as far as I can recall.

Might be a AGS->ABG renaming rule I am unaware of, will have to reread the manual again...
