I was asked about adding support for Korsun Pocket into PBEM Helper, but is there a demo available for this game? If not, could someone describe how the PBEM works? File names, etc?

You mean "ethics". Simple: Do not cheat! Do not reload if you make a mistake. Otherwise anything that the game allows is OK.

We are now playing a new game, and the replay problem happened again. When enemy recon unit fired at my unit, the firing happened in totally wrong hex. This seems to be a new bug in 7.0, never seen this behaviour before.
