No. 457 RAAF Sqdn

<t> When I played the Aug 1942 Scenario #14 the No. 457 RAAF Sqdn was in Melbourne equipted with Spitfire Vbs and was moved to Port Morsby to become one of my most effective fighter squadrons. Now playing a modified Scenario #16 the No. 457 RAAF Sqdn on 6/17/42 indicates that it will arrive the next ...

RE: Too Many Planes

<t> I had this problem when I first played Scenario #10 so have modified all my post 1943 CV upgrades to A/C capacity to 92 so the 105 CAGs will fly. On a test of Scenario #16 played AI vs AI out to 7/28/45 in version 1.21 it seems that the dive bomber squadrons will maintain their 15 plane limit ...

The problem with that is that only the Essex was laid down before the war. CV-10, the future Yorktown II, was laid down after the war started. From here on, Japan was an oviosu threat, and the ships were being laid down at a rate of one every 1-2 ...

RE: Against the unfair ressuscitation of allied ships!

<t> Just for the record, the CA respawn rule also includes CLs. I don't know when it was changed but in my AI vs AI game that was stopped at 7/28/45 v1.21 Scenario #16 modified, there were 14 respawned Baltimore class CAs in theater along with the 4 that were already in the game. There would have ...

Do the japanese get some superfast Inf Divs in the first six months?

<t> In my first v1.21 Scenario #16 mod game as the Allies versus the Japanese on hard level I was having problems staying ahead of the Japanese in Burma. <t> I have just about finished my v1.21 Scenario #16 mod test game. I don't know what his first game was but the first one I played was the original War in Russia. The Matrix editon is actually an improvement to the third generation of that game. The second generation was Second Front.

RE: Aircraft maximum capacity

<t> I think that what you have found is what I would call a wart instead of a bug. In any Scenario I play I change all US carriers to give them an A/C capacity of 92 with any 1944 or later upgrade. This should allow you to operate up to 105 A/C which is what happens to US carriers in 1945 once you ...

RE: Respawned US CAs in V1.20

<t> Rule 15.1.1 states that only US and Australian CAs return as either Baltimore class CAs or Cleveland class CLs. The probabiltiy is 50% for both classes and if the game operated in this way it would pretty much duplicate history. In my modified Scenario #16 test game (now at 6/14/42) there have ...
