opponent wanted?

I'm also up for a game, whatever version you want, currently have both 3.105 and 3.2, 3.2 is still kinda shakey and prefer 3.105 more but will play any, give me a shout at

HQ's and airstrikes

<t>I have not the privelege to actually play anyone with the Lorenzo rules, however, after seeing the thread and looking at the rules, I can see where so many opinions can clash on the idea of bombing and the control of it. I have played lots of wargames, board and computer. I would have to say ...

Saw same thing

<t>I saw the same thing occur with a unit that was completely encircled, like two hexes from the nearest friendly control zone and OKH was reinforcing it with panzer battalions. Then on top of that I hit it with odds up around 35 to 1, he was not in a marsh, and he shrugged it!!! Two turns later he ...

These look really good and would love a copy of some of the stuff you've done. The Icon editor I havent played with yet, but I think the new icons, tanks and planes look good and add a little to the game. I wonder why would you use different colors for the soviets, since ...

I would love to take a look at it, send it my way and if you are still looking for some action do let me know. I have never done a PBEM but would love to try. By the way please pass on to all involved that this is a great game no matter who was putting it down. Saw some previous ...

Rail Conversion

<t>I have noticed that the Blitzkrieg rule has been changed, at least that is what it looks like. Anyway I have not really changed my strategies between versions of WIR, however I find myself "outrunning" my rail conversion quite a lot and find myself 40km from Kharkov with my rail converted almost ...

Stacking

I know this was in a thread not long ago, so I apologize, but what is the stacking points for a JPZ or a STG bn? And what units are defined as independent sub units?

<t>I know I can pull the unit out and send it to be reconstituted but the X key kind of allows you to do it quicker, like a priority thing, anyway, my reason for the thought is that I have a JPZ battalion that is at like strength 2 and has been sitting in a HQ for 4 weeks and is still strength 2 ...

No, not in editwir, I am in a game, I hit UTIL, and then investigate POOLS and in the right bottom corner it gives me # of men, # of artillery and # of AT guns, that is where I see 900 for each.

Strength Pool

<t>Have noticed that my strength pools of artillery and at guns has grown to something like 900 guns a piece, and rather quickly I might add. Does this reflected Soviet units surrendering and the acquisition of captured artillery pieces? Or do I have a bug or something? Sorry if this is a question ...

The X key

<t>I have noticed the absence of the X key, and while I totally agree with some of the stuff posted, I have used it in the past to help raise the strength of those shattered STG and JPZ battalions that find there way to the short end of the pool. Usually said units I pull out and attempt to ...

Good stuff here

<t>Just wanted to let you guys know there at Matrix that you have done a fabulous job revamping and improving this, I haven't skied 16 hours away on WIR in some time. Just a few comments, not a groaning session...I have noticed the soviet respawning units after another retreats and have it saved ...
