I would have to echo Nomad's question? Will it run at all on a PII 350?

Thanks

Erik, many THANKS !!! Those US CLAA will be nasty with all those 40mm Bofors.

I was surprised by the lack or armor on the Ryujo?? What was it converted from? Surely not a CA hull? Or maybe it was purpose built and armor wasn't considered important for its role?

Can UV's AAR be presented in summary form?

Question:

All the AAR's that have been posted appear to be "punchy" blow-by-blow "accounting" of the battles... Can you toggle the AAR's so that you only receive a summary of the results??

Pac War did this-- so I assume UV can-- right?

<t>Well, to be kind, I will not bring up names...<br/>
<br/>
BUT isn't it nice to see a measured, open discussion of a game's development? Like UV's!<br/>
<br/>
Rather than the arrogant-- "We will not do that because it is stupid and our marketing department..." has set an exact date for this hunk ...

<t>The openess by Joel, and the measured discussion on subjects like the PT Boat effectiveness, are what make for great games.<br/>

I appreciate the "tweak" since the PT's seemed a little stout (IMHO), but, even more, I like the willingness of the designers to share info and make changes.<br ...

Of course, they could be 'counters' representing the squadrons present at the base. That seems more likely.

Rabaul screenshot?

<t>For those of us who are really bored and wanting the game........<br/>
<br/>
Question:<br/>
<br/>
The Rabual base screenshot that appears on the main Matrix page has ten aircraft icons/counters on it.<br/>
<br/>
I surmise each one represents a "type" of aircraft, but I was having to work hard to ...

Are the playtesters running with unlimited fuel supplies now?

Their opinions may be the most useful in the discussion.

Personally, I like "ample" fuel at Truk-- but not unlimited. The bottleneck should come in transporting fuel into the Solomons/Rabaul Theater.

Keep those AAR's coming! They are superb.

We only hope that the rising sun will see the Kaga, Akagi, Hiryu, and Soryu crossing the horizon. Goodluck.

I may have tossed in a monkey wrench of confusion here... I asked what "difficulty setting" was being played. I did so b/c I too wondered about Kaga & Akagi showing up.

I didn't think about it being a "hypothetic" scenario on the "historical" difficulty setting.

Hey Snigbert,

Thanks for the AAR. Out of curiousity, what difficulty setting are you playing at?
Thanks

Difficulty Settings?

Does UV have a 'range' of difficulty settings that control the AI, or reousrces, or repair times etc etc?

If so, how many?
Thanks

I aksed this a while back, and don't know a specific answer, but Fog-of-War certainly IS in the game.

To what level? We need a Beta tester to tell us.

I too, think "mis/dis-information" is critical!!!

<t>Thanks for the AAR. I was transfixed as I read it!! Need game... Need game... Need game...<br/>

I too am curious about the Fog-of-War aspects. I asked (a couple months ago) about the game's ability to deliver false, inaccurate, and/or "exuberant" recon reports.<br/>

What do you think ...

Matt

Did a scenario editor make it into your test version?

How many total scenarios are included? Seemed like a dozen or so were mentioned previously...

Thanks
