I'm just getting ready to play PBEM for the first time. Is it then the consensus of the more experienced grognards that I should only upgrade to Version 2.30 and skip 2.40 and 2.41?

I have a regular desktop PC, one regular CDROM drive, one RW drive. Like I said, the game CDROM seems OK because it works on my PC at work. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Well, I was able to load my Uncommon Valor to my PC at work without any problem. Worked perfectly.<br/>

Thanks for the response, Ross. I will try installing on another computer next week sometime - I'm going on vacation right now. At least I know I have the right number of discs!

When running the Uncommon Valor setup program, it loads about half the game and asks for "disk #2" (file SETUP2.2).

But only one CD came in my game! Is there supposed to be a disk #2? If so, how can I get it? Thanks!

If I have V2.2 already installed do I just unzip V2.3 into the same directory? The download website says there is some Windows install program - how do I run that? I didn't see any READ.ME to help me in the zipped download . . .thanks.

Can you load an Army HQ on a TF and move it by sea? I am having a little problem with this. Are there certain ships you need in the TF to make it work?

I am also very interested if Windows ME will play the new version of PacWar OK. I'm thinking of getting a new PC with the latest version of Windows but NOT if it won't play PacWar. . .anybody else with experience in this area?
