<t>Hey Bing, my 2 cents on the Firewall wusetion is that a Hardware firewall is more secure than a Software one any day. Just my personal experience, I use a Watchguard Firebix II, and never get scanned or hacked.<br/>

<t>Yeremenko, the Soviet general who engineered the defense of theStingrad front, sure he had an excellent subordinate in Chuikov, but he defended with the least force possible, and was partly responsible for OP Uranus with Zukov, but didn't even get a chance to finish the German 6th Army off, he ...

Thanks

<t>The reason I used this "cheat" was so I could play larger battles, ie instead of battalion sized, brigade sized. Because the AI purchased a proportionate amount of equipment to your force's value, the challenge level would remain relatively the same. It seems a little condescending to say "how ...

<t>I would tend to agree with you on the flamethrower issue, they are quite powerful. The Italian OOB already has a 2man flamethrower team. I have been thinking of modding the Soviet OOB to have no flamers in the eng squads, and a seperate flame team. Re the Molotovs, they do have the disadvantage ...

Plus, aerial recon was a strategic asset, not a tactical one. Kind of beyond the scope of the game's intention.

T34 M42 can carry 12, SU-85(T34 chasis) also. I have pictures of 9, 10 and even 11 Tank Desant riders on various models, so, I've modified the OOBs to allow for a dozen riders across the board.

<t>I think cheating may be a bit too strong a term. But I do think that it is unrealistic given what we know about history. So, if you want a strictly historical simulation, that is rigid, then Wurf's with unlimited ammo isn't right. I do agree with you about Rommel in the "innovation" sense, but ...

I installed the 3 MC's in this order, one after the other.
1st: MCNA
2nd: MCWT
3rd: MCLV
Someone had mentioned in a post that because of OOBs, this was the way to do it.

I think Paul addressed the ESD issue in another thread, and had reasons why it wasn't pracical. I can't get the search function to work at the moment, but maybe someone else can remember.

<t>First off,<br/>
Thanks Paul and crew, not only for maintaining and improving a game that we all know is in it's twilight of development, but, taking forum-member's suggestions and incorporating them into new releases. Don't know of many s/w companies that do this so willingly.<br/>

<t>Whatever form the next MC takes, it should be one where the AI is predominately on the defensive. As we all know the AI doesn't attack all that smart, despite your best efforts, and it's a lot more fun and challenging to attack, rather than defend.<br/>
Also, I'm going to try and stuff the ballot ...

Hey WB. I mentioned this in another thread, but the idea of an M/C around the British 7th Armd would be kinda cool. Or maybe an Italian campaign from Sciliy to the Po Valley. Guiding those DDay Dodgers!!!

<t>My 2 cents would be perhaps an M/C following say the British 7th Armd Desert Rats. Big Project spanning most of the war but.. Also, if a new MC project was started, I would be happy to VOLUNTEER my time dry running through scenarios. At the very least it would teach me more about scenario design ...

My mistake, sorry WB, didn't mean to demote you, you are of course an officer and gentleman. Also noticed a Sgt Puller, is he Chesty in disguise slogging it out with the rank and file?
Some great tricks with the AI to get them to move around and react.
Thanks guys
