RE: Five Ways D-Day Might Have Ended in Disaster

<t> I suspect if Panzers had got to the beach they would have been able to smash 1 or maybe 2 of the beaches. This would have left a gap between the two beachheads, but probably would not have caused them to fail. Once the beachheads were reinforced, breaking out would probably have proved to be ...

RE: Download vs. Physical Option

<t> Maybe if you are unmarried and your money is your own to spend without explanation; you can justify a $160.00 game. As a married man, that amount has to be defended and justified to someone to whom the entire hobby is akin to me acting like I am 12 again. At least as massive achievement as ...

All I want for Christmas....

<t> All I want for Christmas is the two map campaigns...I want to play Europe and I want to play the Pacific, just not at the same time. I'm finding playing 7 players over 4 maps is driving me crazy and I find myself being unable to get very far as I am only able to go slowly due to controlling ...

RE: People not wanting the manuals

<t> The issue is not about wanting the manual. The issue is that sending the manuals to me here in Australia has added $47.00 AUD to the cost. While I am happy to pay $113.99 for the game (even for the download alone), the addition of a 40% premium (paid to a courier company not Matrix) made it the ...

RE: Simple Fix for German Raiding

<t> I believe the issue is the availability of railcap for factories.&nbsp; The railcap treats a lathe being packed up and moved exactly the same way as an infantryman or a vehicle that are (comparitively) easily loaded and unloaded from a train.&nbsp; Perhaps railcap used for moving industry needs ...

Soviet. Normal infantry brigades trying to build up to rifle divisions. Not static units or naval brigades.

Yes I keep pushing the build-up button and nothing happens. Trying the b button doesn't do anything either.

Merging units

Probably missing the point here, but I can't get units to merge. The dates are right, the units stacked are right and they are in movement mode. Why won't they merge?

RE: Running out of fuel?

<t> I'm not really sure.&nbsp; I know that in the first versions of AE it was a bit of a concern, then it was fixed by a patch.&nbsp; Now it seems to have recurred.&nbsp; I'm finding subs rebasing to San Francisco even though Pearl has plenty of spare fuel.<br/>

Running out of fuel?

Since loading the latest patch, I am finding that the old bug of subs running out of fuel has returned. Is anyone else finding this too?

RE: Can't download AE

<t> Gave it a 12 hour break and tried again. Using IDM 5.17 and tried segmentation this time. Quite early on 3 of the segments stopped downloading, then eventually only 2 of the segments downloaded fully. I don't seem to have been locked out, but only got a total of 48.08% dowloaded before all ...

RE: Can't download AE

I don't get that far. At either 11 meg or 32 meg of the download, it just refuses to download any more. No errors, it just seems that it can't get the next part of the file while the session is still active.

I've only got a copy of pacwred13.xls and it doesn't work (unless you like crazy graphics)

I'd really appreciate if someone could send me a copy

<r>To be honest I'm a bit sick of this argument. Obviously lets not let the facts get in the way of a good game. I'll make a deal with both Rich and Gary. Give us an editor so that we can change our own Beaufighters into Fighter-Bombers and we'll all go away and modify our own versions. If not; then ...
