DeVada:
Thanks bunches, the *!§$!* Marines turned up again at San Francisco, at only 80 squads, no artillery nor tanks, so I didn't have to edit afterall.

Editor -- where and how?

<t>Hi everyone,<br/>
<br/>
in one of the unfortunate quirks of war, a transport task force has apparently unloaded my 1st Marine Division in Shangri-La, and failed to tell anyone; so it's still listed as being in that now non-existent task force. I'd like to edit that, if possible, and want to know ...

Mika,
is this perhaps the same location that the elusive "General" class APs go to, that appear in the Allied pool of V2.3 sometime in 1943?

Jeremy,
thanks for all the work, first of all...then, could you add additional air groups if you returned to the escort carrier groups, instead of individual ships? Certainly I would be in favor of that...

Notwithstanding the inability of PacWar to model them accurately, the PT Boats DID have a major effect during several campaigns, notably the Solomons and New Guinea, and even during the Battle of Leyte Gulf; their effectiveness against larger units, of course, was limited, but ...

<t>Mogami, I don't think it was 40 U-Boats, more on the order of ten or so? Unless you mean that there were 40 different U-boats there, but not at the same time, which sounds about right. An no Australian cruiser sunk by them, certainly not off Townsville, which is on the other side of Australia and ...

<t>Has any else had Japanese LCUs appear at strange places over the map? I'm currently keeping the game running against a defeated Japanese AI in order to see all the new ships and LCUs etc., and I have just lost Addu Atoll in the Indian Ocean to a suddenly appearing Jap LCU that most assuredly did ...

Relax man, I'm just calling the shots as I see them. The problem is that even if full-size units are, as you say, possibly moved with less problem by using different kinds of transports, most units are not full when I lift them from the West Coast. I don't want to invade ...

<t>Major Tom:<br/>
The problem with the APs is not that they are fewer or that they have higher capacity, but that their capacity and the "cargo value" of the troops doesn't match at all. For example, two of the new Henderson class APs are required to lift a lousy engineer unit, because it has a 108 ...

<t>It seems that more bases in Burma are useless unless the Japanese get a chance to take them -- and in my current V2.3 game, they don't. I didn't even do anything special, I just moved all forces I had in Burma to Rangoon over time; and the Japanese never got anywhere against Alexander'S 1600 ...

Two types of APAs?

<t>I have a problem with late-war U.S. APAs. Some time in 1943, there appears a second listing for APAs in the pool -- so you get, say, one APA listing of four ships and one of six, but you can't ever access the six ships. Can't get them in the APA groups, that is. What's the problem here, am I ...
