RE: Is it smart to buy games in boxes?

<t> Not anymore. There was a time before server-based game ownership where you couldn't trust the new idea to last, and so a box was a necessary security measure for your games. Now? The online or virtual game ownership has more than proven itself. It is the only way I'll buy games anymore unless ...

I see no actual ships in this sim. I've little interest in a map game of symbols only.

It just doesn't matter. And I wouldn't take any advice or information from the NYT as being worthy. Of anything.

<t> 2by3 understand all this I'm certain. They are doing what they're doing (or not doing) for a reason. If it annoys you, write the game off for now, like many are resorting to. When it comes out, you can be pleasantly surprised. Or not. It's not that big of a deal. It'll come out when it's ready ...

<t> You're one of the most nationally partisan people on this board, Warspite. If you can't understand my points, coming from a lawyer, the problem is with you my friend. You're just throwing things out there to divert the real charges, and I typically have no interest in further debate with someone ...

RE: Kursk WW2: Why Russia is still fighting world's biggest tank battle

<t> I have watched the first 20 minutes or so of the video and do appreciate the first scholar's remarks about the "Greatness of Napoleon". All true. I will go back to watch the rest when I have more time but what I heard of the second gentleman's thesis was that "there was so much more Napoleon ...

I didn't watch your video, but I did see a rating of military leaders throughout all of history and Napoleon was in first place by quite a wide margin. No contest, really, and I would agree.

RE: 2by3 to publish Steel Tigers

<t> My point is that wargamers typically need the same kind of feedback and excitement level from games as other genres do. Oh sure, unit counters aren't "sexy" but the action of a turn-based IGO-UGO game is enjoyable among all gamers. It's the system I'm talking about, not genre features. What I'm ...
