Scenario 19-3day turns-Quality Game

<t>I am looking for ONE QUALITY scenario 19 experience as the US. 3 day turns-sub doctrine on or off, ship repair on, 100 % ship committment both sides. Can average one turn/day- (in the 6-9PM Western US Time Zone time period) I wish to savor the game not gulp it. Prefer to play with "hardcore ...

Perception vs Reality

<t>Mr Heath<br/>
<br/>
Thanks for responding to my posting. It is good to hear a Matrix response. I stand by what I said and if you check my posts in the problem section you will see that my last questions had nothing to do with your server. My questions were:<br/>
<br/>
1. Are new UV games coming ...

Don't hold your breath

<t>Speedy<br/>

Don't hold your breath waiting for Matrix to resolve this problem. I too had problems downloading and as can be seen from my earlier posts in the bug/problems section all I heard from Matrix on any of my questions was the same "We'll check the server" reply.<br/>

<t>I have two additional questions:<br/>
<br/>
For those of us on the outside of 2.0 looking in and wanting to re-join the party.<br/>
<br/>
1. Which version are new UV discs? If they are in fact v2.0 I would be willing to pay to get the 2.0 update by purchasing a new game.<br/>
2. Has any thought ...

<t>I give up!<br/>

After 5 attempts to download via True Update. 7AM Sunday, 1PM Sunday, 7PM Sunday, 3:15AM Monday and 6:30 AM Monday (all times Pacific TZ) I get the message after several hours.<br/>

Thanks Ross

I am glad its not my system and that I will be able to upgrade after the stampede.

Those guys in far off time zones may actually have been given a break for a change-looks like I'll have to set my alarm to hit the early bird connection.

Can't get version 2.0 to download

<r>After two tries and over 5 hours wasted, I can't get the version 2.0 upgrade to download. I am attempting to download from the most recent previous version and both times I get:<br/>

Transportable Artillery

<t>Has any one else asked the question of how all the guns get over the trails that, from what I have read were almost impassible just to march across with full back pack and weapon? I have seen photos of the trail from Buna to Port Moresby and I think I read that geting heavy support weapons across ...

How Did You Do It And How Long Did It Take?

<t>It seems to me that UV has been out long enough that several folks may in fact have been able to play a scenario 17 or 19 to conclusion. Many of us are in the midst of one or more PBEM games and many more are evaluating the wisdom of jumping into a PBEM match.<br/>

<t>I tip my hat to those who have the time and patience to play a long sceanrio with 1 day turns. Those who have the luxury of taking the time to make multiple turns per day perhaps can play a long one to completion. My personal time limitations restrain me to one turn per day. I am just too ...

UV PBEM Etiquette

<r>PBEM in UV is the way to go. After trying PBEM playing the AI is like kissing your sister.<br/>

Your PBEM effort may not be as secure as you think

<t>After struggling repeatedly to get a PBEM effort up and running. I just discovered that "secure" PBEM in UV isn't. Perhaps it was all the wrestling I had to go through to discover which file to save and where and which to zip/unzip that caused me to discover that at least US player and probably ...

Where is all the action?

<t>Just started a PBEM game. the problem is that I am not seeing any combat and or sighting action. I think we are both having this problem-all we seem to be able to do is input orders and if we are lucky any intel we get is from the i button-in fact there is not even a combat report button on the ...

Looking For Imperial Opponent

<t>Any interest in trying your Japanese strategies against a PBEM opponent? Looking for a dedicated scenario 17 opponent who likes UV and has a life. Would like to savor the game, not devour it---avg 1 mailing/day. And to get the game done before we get to old to see screen, would prefer 3 days/turn ...
