Cavalry tends to have lower ammo loadouts, keep that in mind. As always, a balance of units is really the best. You may find that you prefer to have 1 rifle squad, 3 SMG squads, 1 Engineer squad, and 1 MG unit in each of your Platoons.

<r>Those are great suggestions, <B><s></s>Grimm<e></e></B>! I've recently started playing with C&C on. Crews being "recon"-classed shouldn't make them "cheap infantry" due to the fact that they only have one weapon in slot two--not as many weapons as there are men in the squad in slot 1 as ...

Cool; I never was sure whether the "AA" was to be taken as a Russian abbreviation, or Anti-Aircraft.

Go/Igo... been a long time since I played that. Can't say it's my favourite wargame, though--a weeeeee bit too abstract to me for that. ;)

<t>Got some errors in the Chinese OOB's, and some potential ones. Are foreign equipment supposed to have the same ratings? EG, a captured Japanese tank; should that have the same ratings in both OOB's? How about TMG vs. BMG--if it's the same weapon in a different slot, shouldn't it have the same PEN ...

<r>In about a half-dozen other threads like this, I've posted a workable German entry-level force that is around 1500 points and 70 units. That keeps the size down (which keeps the enemy's size down), gives you a little of everything, and few enough units that you might finish Long WWII before you ...

LMG's and MMG's, even in squad situations, appear to have some inherent pen-values. Sometimes they're listed, sometimes not. Oddly enough, sometimes ATR squads don't have their pen listed either. :(

The OOB set was v.7.1. The encounter happened at range 1 (1 hex away), was a front hull hit, not bottom, not even a Vulnerable Location! I remember once before, my Japanese infantry squads' rifles took out a few Russian BT-tanks.

My Engineers took out a 7-TP with a front-hull hit. 17mm armor. It wasn't grenades. It wasn't flamethrower. It wasn't satchel charge. It wasn't MG42. It wasn't even a close-assault. It was the MP-38/40 at range 1.
