Submarine repair issue

<t> Hi there, <br/>
I'm in a game that has made it to 10/42 so far (I'm Japan), and both myself and my opponent have noticed something similiar. Some of our subs have lost forward torpedo tubes while in combat, and I can't seem to get them to repair. <br/>

RE: WIA pilots

I can't provide a reference, but I seem to recall somebody mentioning it was a RND(1-365) days....
So 1 year at max, 6 months on average, and possibly next week..&nbsp; Seems pretty reasonable to me.

Purpose of the Akitsushima class??

<r> Just received my newest AV to the Japanese fleet..<br/>
Only to discover it has a A/C capacity of 1/0.<br/>
<br/>
What the heck is the purpose of an AV ship with a capacity of 1 (or is it 0?). Other than as a potential target, being worth 20 VPs and all... Its got some AA value, but its ...

RE: Troops unloading in ocean

<r> As you suspect, its Ca.. But its completely blue, with no red or green dot.. And no neighbouring land.<br/>
<br/>
I looked around, and there are a couple of others like this, but they are mostly 1 space away from nearby islands in the Gilberts and Marshalls...<br/>

I'm at work, I'll try to post a screen shot later on..<br/>

Its definetly ocean blue, deep, no land... the Transport task force was set to unload (I didn't set that for the ocean), and ...

RE: Troops unloading in ocean

<r> Maybe yes... Maybe no...<br/>
I don't actually know what will happen to the troops.. Will the database clean them back into the ships? Will they drown on the spot? Will they just stay there, unable to walk anywhere (I tried, it says unable to trace supply route..), unless they starve to death ...

Troops unloading in ocean

<t> Hi there, <br/>
I'm not really expecting much support, because this is in a 1.4 game patched to 1.5, but I just had about 80% of a Japanese Brigade I was shipping to an invasion site spontaenously unload in an ocean square...<br/>

RE: Carrier air group broken

<t> I'll say that I've seen similiar behaviour on Japanese carrier groups before.<br/>
Zuikaku took 2 bomb hits, which rendered her flight inoperable. Her groups tooks some losses during the fight.<br/>
<br/>
Later, when she's in port, I looked into disbanding small groups of planes to replenish ...

Thanks to everybody who responded, but Belphegor was the first to get back to me, and I don't think I have the bandwidth to handle more than one game at the same time.. Wish me luck!<br/>

New Japanese player looking for experience

<t> Hi there,<br/>
I'm looking to play a vanilla Senario 15 as the Japanese. I'm not played the big game before, but I'm practiced against the AI with the smaller senarios, and I've played PBEM UV before. I can manage 1 turn/day normally, probably 2 on weekends.<br/>
<br/>
I'm willing to start ...

Computer sends damaged ships off-map...

<r> I'm currently playing Senario #6 as the Japanese, and snuck in a port raid on Enewotok (sp?). Put 10 bombs & 1 torpedo into the Iowa. A few turns later, I loaded the save game up as the Americans, to see how much damage she took, and couldn't find her at all in the game. <br/>
<br/>
Finally, I ...

RE: How many escorts in a convoy.

<r> One final issue to remember in the end, when facing the sub threat only, is that (based on operational studies performed during the war) the loss of ships from a convoy is independent of the # of ships in the covoy, and is more a function of the # of convoys...<br/>
<br/>
So to minimize losses ...

<r> I don't the details of the normal, probability-based repair system, but my understanding of repair yards is that they use up Repair points = durability of the target. Thus, big and tough BB's use more points than small DD's.<br/>

RE: Excel file listing all ressources of the map, Scenario 15

<t> Hi There,<br/>
I'm worried about Japan's Armament shortage... I've done a couple of trial tests, and it seems that Japan doesn't have anywhere near enough armament prodcution to equip her army.... Just in the first 60 days alone, the 20,000 points at the start are exhausted, including all new ...

<r> Other information based on my analysis.<br/>
<br/>
Some are interesting in supply & fuel production. At Japan's peak, once it has conquored all the SRA,<br/>
I'm estimating that it will produce about 37k of supply & 25k of fuel a day (roughly). Of this, about 22k of the 25k of fuel will be ...

RE: Everything you want to know about production starts with Xargun

<t> First off, many thanks to Xargun for consolidating all the scattered production threads in once place...<br/>

This encouraged me to sit down last night with the game on my main machine, and Excel in my laptop, and do some serious data entry...<br/>

I entered every resource ...
