RE: In-turn And end of Turn saves!

<t> I really don't see why there's all this complaining about these saves. The game was designed one way, to make the player pay for decisions and mistakes. I strongly disagree with that philosophy, so I work around it and enjoy myself. That utility mentioned above seems to work, plus there are alot ...

My experiences with this same issue always seemed to fall back on another program (typically a virus scan or auto updater) running in the background while SPWAW is onscreen. It really was a problem for me until I made sure those things weren't functioning while I play, and since ...

RE: ModSwapper & Panther Leo and What It Means

<t> I may be waaaay off base here, because I haven't delved into editing or swapping oob's etc at all playing the game, I have only played the stock game. But, can't a player right now (and apparently easier in the future with this modification) edit the oob to have the pricing format set like RB ...

<t> Congratulations RB!<br/>
I'm about 9 battles ahead of you in DF, and all I can say is "Achtung Minen!!" (hope I spelled that right). I believe this is where WB got his well deserved notariety for devious and deadly minefields, and they're everywhere, especially where you don't expect. Have fun ...

Welcome, and prepare to lose sleep and relationships, lol....All MC's follow same general setup, although each one has taught the designers how to do the next better. Screaming Eagles has the nice touch of choosing 4 different leads into the MC, thats unique. All the others have ...

You hit my nail right on the head! I love the "Assault" series, got all the mods (Boots and Saddles, Bundeswehr, Chieftan, etc), plus Chadwicks "Sands of War" series, which is similiar. They had great playability, were a tremendous amount of fun. I do't mind the loss of relevance, I ...

I almost fell out of my chair reading this thread. The mis-information in it is staggering, and I can only attribute it to opinions from folks who never served in the US Army, and bullsh*t from ages ago like Vietnam. Les. I have to take issue with you in particular. You quote Carl ...

where are you located? there are any number of us here who will send you a cd rom with game and extras essentially for free or a charitable donation made (to your favorite charity). PM me with your mailing address and I'll get one off to you. SPWAW is better in most ways IMHO.<br ...

Life D-Day Commemorative Issue

<t> When I came home today my wife had bought me a little present at the store....the above mentioned Life magazine D-Day 60th Anniversary Commemorative Issue. To all WWII buffs, do yourself a favor and check this gem out. It has great illustrations (drawn and painted), good text, and many many ...

I bought second hand (almost new and only partially punched) copies of "Armor" and "88" back in 1992 from a local comic book/game store here in Syracuse. They looked great at first glance, and Yaquinto did an outstanding job with carboard pieces (unit counters were individual ...

Marx sets

<t>Most of you are describing Marx playsets from the 1960s. I too had germans , japanese and allied soldiers along with the great accessories that came with them. I also inherited the US Civil War set from my older siblings, that was way cool too. I salivated for the Guns of Navarone set but it was ...

latest

Jess-
I deleted H2H and directory, plus steel.prf, and rebooted and it's behaving better, but I'm still treading lightly. Still am curious as to how to get H2H working right. Anyone have any ideas, or thread links to instructions?
Thanks in advance,
Tim

Help with H2h fr

<r>Jess...I finally decided to go down the H2H road...I had (with some great effort) gotten 7.1 and all 3 megas to work, and not crash. I followed your directions form the first post in this thread exactly.
<QUOTE><s>[QUOTE]</s>1. Make a complete copy of 7.1, name it H2H in your Matrix Games Folder ...
