RE: Wish list for a possible new patch

<t> Exactly billyjj. I have never been kicked out of the UK but on the other hand we never reached that far before we decided to restart the game. It freezed during a turn where I as the allied player had to do the Lithuania moves for my opponent since even though the country was set to be ...

Wish list for a possible new patch

<t> The game is great, in particular in PBEM mode. But, I wish for some improvements if there is a new patch on its way:<br/>
1. A visualization of the sub warfare and the impact of British PP's. No it is hard to see why the Axis should vaste PP's on subs and raiders at all.<br/>
2. Get reports ...

RE: PBEM change nation from AI-Human during game

Thanks for your reply but that we have tried. Unless you mean changes only can be done the second turn? No such information about that, is it? Any other suggestions?

PBEM change nation from AI-Human during game

<t> My opponent and I have started the grand campaign. From the beginning UK, France, Poland and USSR was set to Human player 2. That is me. German and Italy was set to Human player 1, him.<br/>
When the Germans now have attacked the Netherlands we wanted to make it so I could take over the ...

A list of "bugs"

<t> This game is real nice and very well done[&o]. A little tricky to get the hang on though, without reading the manual that is[;)]. I have now played for about 15 hours just testing the game. I have come across some peculiarities that I need some help on solving. Perhaps I am doing something wrong ...

Just got the hang of this game and find it rather amusing. Prefer to play as the Entente. Any WW1 fans out there?

RE: Taking Norway. Worth it?

<r> We agree on the facts and talking to one of the developers by mail I got this response:<br/>
<br/>
"I don`t remember ATM but aren`t there in ToW any resources next to Narwik? If not still there is a place for an event - for example one to increase amount of PP give by Narvik when it is taken ...

RE: Taking Norway. Worth it?

Being absent for a while. What do you think we can do to get the devs attention to this? I am now playing Allies with patch 1.7 and the PP of Narvik is 2!!! Next to nothing, and definitely not enough to make&nbsp;Norway an important strategic target...

Sea battles and German navy

<t> I play the Allies with patch 1.7. <br/>
Both now and earlier I have been wondering about the rather strange sea battles. There is no message about the sinking of ships even thoug the whole unit roster (not sure about the word) turns red. Would it not be convenient that one was informed that the ...

RE: 1.7 questions and observations

<r> About 4). I have done the same observations. None of my Polish or French fighters seems to intercept German attacks. <U><s></s>Before<e></e></U> I decided to control France myself I saw German attacks being intercepted by French fighters. It seems like fighters in human control nations ...

RE: Demo Mouse Lag

<t> I still have mouse lag in the full game with the 1.6 patch. Have choosed Windows mode and hide cursor (the cursor is very much visibel though). Helped only temporary. Seems after a short while the lag increases. Resolution is 1280x1024. <br/>
Reduced it to 1024x768 and that just made it a lot ...

RE: Taking Norway. Worth it?

<t> I agree very much on focusing on PP to make the game more strategic and also correct according to history. A little note about Narvik, 60% of the Iron Germany importet at the war beginnen was from Kiruna in Sweeden and about 60% of this iron was shipped via Narvik. The rest went via the Baltic ...

RE: AI use of Air

<t> I do not understand everything you say about losses etc. but I use air attack to make sure that I can soften an enemy unit occupaying a city or an other key position such as my land attack will succeed in knocking it out. This works fine and are crucial to a quick progress in many cases. <br ...

Playing Germany against Poland I have noticed that a lot of German units does not have a general star visible but there is still a generals name in the unit info box. Is this correct?

RE: Strategic Bombing

<t> It is surely an interesting observation but everything is relative. It is perhaps a bit hasty to conclude without seing the whole game in perspective. I haven't finished a campaign yet so I do not know how this fit in in the overall picture. Anyway, I guess the developers might find it ...

<t> Hi, yes, that is something to consider an additionally from my original thread:<br/>
"Such that low country morale, which might have been the case in the UK in the start of the war, would lead to low risk taking such that big parts of the Royal Navy stayed in port. (Freezed), in 1939-40. I ...

RE: Post Novice input

<t> Thanks for your comment, was not aware of the diplomacy thing you mentioned. You definitely have a point that morale and fighting spirit quickly manifests itself in unit strength but I still see some options. In the thread I addressed morale also as an issue of will to risk men and material ...
