1 day turn is the best option IMO becuase gives you the better control over the action going on.
For example if you choose 2 days game turn and issue a shock attack order it will last for the two days and it could have really bad conseguences[:-]

I happened to have to rerun the combat as japanese some times and it was exactly the same.
Did you check the combat report file? did it chage too?
