RE: Tokyo to go

<t> I've been concentrating on manpower but I think Tokyo is down to 32x(38). Tom and I have been playing this campaign since Oct. of 04 and I don't know how many patched we've upgraded since then but I've noticed my combat reports are not to be trusted.. An yes in tokyo I do have a ton of Armor and ...

Tokyo to go

<t> It's now 7/28/44 and I've got my long standing opponent finally cornered in tokyo.. unfortunatly he's got about 70 or so units in there totaling 250,000 troops. I've finally brought my army to give battle but so far have only amassed a little under 300,000.. though they include some very good ...

RE: Hellcats and Helldivers on 1/15/43?

<t> So do you folks have any suggestion as to what to do with those squadrons? Disband them? Seems gamey to try to use them at this time in the war. but it would stink to not have any planes on those CVEs. I suppose I could run Marine squadrons off the CVEs.I'm not sure what the VR designation means ...

Hellcats and Helldivers on 1/15/43?

<t> In my longest running PBEM game (the whole war) my CVE Altamaha came quiped with 24x Hellcats and the date is only Jan 15th 1943? Another CVE (Can't remember the name) came with a squadron of Hellcats and a squadron of Helldivers. Is this accurate or an OOB error? In the aircraft pool I see that ...

For History nuts like us you really can't beat Lunstrom's work. I've re-read them all several times and my copies are all dog-eared and highlighted. Great books I recommend them highly!

<r> I'm not sure if it's been mentioned before but I finally recieved my copy of Pacific Fighters. A Flight Sim by the guys who made IL-2. I wondered how many flight Simmers actually played this game too. "Pacific Fighters" is a great game so far, but not without some glaring histrocal issues and ...

<t> I've got to say against he AI I've had Midway type results happen both ways to me. Against Humans I've only managed to have one carrier battle and that was the Lexington vs. 3 small Jap carriers. Net result. One of the Jap Carriers sunk and the LExingtontakeing damage. Those Buffalos didn't do ...
