Well, actually the Vichy French put up quite a resistance in Syria, didn't they?

RE: Brazil

<t> Quite a problem there with the population. Brazil has a fairly large population, but its commitment to the war was far from the "total war" levels of other nations. In that sense it would make sense to have it have a small population for game purposes.<br/>

But on the other hand, if the ...

RE: Replace seasons with another time reference

Yes, seasons are reversed in the southern hemisphere. I find your mocking of CutLunch's comment to be in poor taste.

I did mention this earlier, before the game was released, but it did not prosper.

Cheers.

RE: Paul vs Joel PBEM - Allied Player comments only

<t> Well, given that it was, in fact, what actually happened historically, it is only natural that it would also make sense in a computer representation of the war, whether it be something as rudimentary as Axis and Allies or as complex as Gary Grigsby's World at War.<br/>

I've seen that in several AARs Japan uses airpower to keep the size of the Chinese Army down. How historically accurate is that?

Hey, they've changed the color for Allied-controlled territories, haven't they? I personally liked the solid green better. This new close-to-white thing looks kind of close to the neutral country color... at first I had trouble understanding what was going on in North Africa.[&:]

RE: Operational vs Strategic vs Tactical

<t> I like Operational and Strategic better. It seems a bit more 'real' inasmuch you make your decisions sitting down and looking at maps, often with a lot of time to spare. Even taking an entire hour or more to decide whether to invade the USSR or not is a fast decision there. <br/>

<t> I'm really mostly into playing the underdog or the country that lost the actual war. That results in me usually playing the Axis in WWII, although my preferred countries are Japan or Italy [!!].
