RE: Short Scenarios??

I'll put in another vote for more smaller-size scenarios.  I found with WitP the game was just to big for me to get my head around without smaller scenarios to start out with.

Screen Resolutions Supported?

This looks great. What screen resolutions are supported? What about widescreen?

Battlefront is making a real time upgrade to their (now) hoary engine based on a hypothetical US/Syrian war. Good luck to them but the challenge lies in making such an asymmetrical conflict interesting.<br/>

Agreed, those aren't so great.

For 1995 Steel Panthers was a terrific game. TOAW is also a very good game.

RE: Immersion?

<t> For me SSG's Decisive Battles series is easily the most immersive of the operational level wargames. Definitely much more so than say TOAW. The thing that really makes a difference for me is the unit insignias on the counters. It seems like a small thing, but it makes the whole game much more ...

RE: AGE OF RIFLES & TANKS ?

I would totally be up for an Age of Rifles remake.&nbsp; I haven't played Tanks, but the idea of a WW2 onward generic wargame construction kit sounds interesting.

RE: How Would You Like To See Us Release Games

<t> Personally I like companies that provide download immediately with boxed version shipped as soon as available.&nbsp; For example that's the way AGEOD initially released Birth of America (pre-Matrix distribution).&nbsp; I am happy to pay an extra $10 for the download with boxed version shipped ...

RE: What would you most like to see in a Matrix Games newsletter/blog?

That all sounds great.&nbsp; I love your AARs, and info on upcoming games and such is always good.&nbsp; I think I'd have a slight preference for a blog on the theory that it would probably be updated more frequently and in small work break bit-sized chunks.

RE: OT - Star Wars: Empire at War?

<t> Empire at War is a lot of fun. Think of it as a beer and pretzels version of the Total War series with Star Wars flavoring. The combination of strategic level building and tactical real-time battles matches the Total War Series. But the strategic layer isn't quite as complex as Total War and the ...

RE: which one

<t> Personally I picked BiN because of the subject matter. Invading Normandy is great fun. Also BiN includes a version of The Ardennes Offensive which I also enjoy playing. I expect I'll pick up BiI sooner or later, as I do love the game system. I chose BiN because the subject matter trumped any ...

I would prefer a pacific front game at this point. This is just my opinion.

A pacific front Decisive Battles game would be great! I'd be very interested in carriers at war as well.

I'd love to see both a naval system and a better AI. However, having to chose, I'd pick the AI. I don't play human-to-human so the AI quality is very important to me.
