RE: Big lag

<t> Case closed. I had to turn off hexside details and the hexes. I can now scroll very fast and can now access my different units in the different bases. Still, with a 512 MB video card, amd64 3800 cpu, and 2 gigs of memory a person would think i could turn on the hexside details. <br/>
Anyway ...

RE: Big Lag

<t> [:'(]well, the thing that fixed it was that i had to shut off the hexside details. That is not fair. I have the hugest video card (512 MB), 2 gigs of ram, and an amd 64 3800 cpu. It worked sort of well on my other computer, which was a 733 megahertz computer. The map without the hexsides does ...

RE: Big Lag

<t> well, i reinstalled everything, up to the 1.6 patch. At first all orders given in pearl harbor go fine and fast, but when i start giving orders to bases in the phillipines or such, it slows down hugely only when i access a DIFFERENT unit, not when i give it orders. Scrolling on the map then also ...

RE: Big Lag

i changed the map scroll settings to 1, then to 0. The lag also applies to when I click onto anything, including giving commands to my units and things like that. ALSO, what do you mean by "IIRC" in your reply?

resource/oil movement for allies? Needed?

Do the allies need to transport oil and resources (from burma and india) to on-map industrial centers, or does the computer do it? If you ship them to Karachi, are they then sent to off-map areas, like England? (FYI I never use the computer convoy system)[:(]

RE: MAJOR performance problem

I lowered the volume levels to zero in the game. The run time for an entire turn went down to 35 minutes (used to be 2 and a half hours). I think I will add more ram, though. (currently i have 128 megs.) Thanks for your info!![:)]
