Regarding the reserve:
You do not have enough manpower to fill all IN 30 Div at once.

Set only 2-4 Div to refit (depends on the number of battalions, brigades, tank div mountain div and so on, you have set on refit)

Against a Human player I would not do that. At least, untill I know I can protect these convois. I thank, that the Tankers are very important 1942-1943. Therfore, I take care of them.

As Jpanese player I would hunt them...

I think, the only source for Oil to ship to Autralia is from Abadan. (Late war)

Normally I send Convois loaded with fule from Abadan via Cape Town to Asutralia. And when there is enough Oil I load a single tanker with Oil and invlude this ship to the Convoi.

So, it is a source of supplies which are not produced by the on-map factories

Ii notice the same. Especially when I play the allied side I try to have 1-2 pilots with exp in the group. I have the "feeling" that all other pilots will improve "better" then air groups with only untrained pilots.

These are all through the engine created pilots. The game engine can handle historical Pilots. But they have to be added in the scenario.

The US Naviy have many good captains and commander in cargo, tanker and oiler

e.g.:
AO Tippecanoe => CDR Macondray
AO Platte => CPT Henkle
AP Barnett => CPT Tornbill

and so on

Which are more usefull for Submarines, Destroyer and capital ships

You will not see him/her anymore.

No. It explains why they disappear. They will come back as Tank Brigades after 10 turns because they where depleted.

You wrote they had a TOE of 0 = depleted.
