Re: Question About TOE delay

TOE upgrades are not complusary nor are they automatic. If you completely ignore TOE upgades the unit will simply keep on using the one it was authorised at the start of the game.

For TOEs delay date is date the unit is scheduled to upgrade to the next TOE. It is not the date that the TOE is ...

Question About TOE delay

This example is from my version of Scenario #1. For the upgrade chain below:

TOE A Delay 420601 upgrades to TOE B
TOE B Delay 430601 upgrades to TOE C
TOE C Delay 450115 upgrades to TOE D
TOE D Delay 9999

Does this mean that TOE A is effective UNTIL 420601 and the same for the other TOEs?
But, if ...

Re: Destroyed LCU Screen

In the upper left hand corner is a button you can push which will clear the units that you cannot buy back.
By pushing it, you will have just the units that you can buy back in the list....GP

I've done that. I have units where the cost to recall is either "Can't recall" or "Not defined ...

Destroyed LCU Screen

What does it mean when under the formation type it says "No base formation" and the cost to recall is "Not defined"?

I also have some where the formation type is defined but still has a cost of "Not defined"

SCR-270 Radar Won't Unload

Trying to unload a base force on Penryhn Island and everything has unloaded but the radar which I got a message saying it can't.

I think I know what I might have done wrong (been away from this game for too long and making stupid mistakes): Even though I used AK and AP ships I put them in a regular ...

Re: Some Air and Naval Questions

Pro tip:

Put ships into Surface Combat or ASW TF. Let them sit there to get more exp.

55/55 for some, 45/45 to smaller ones.

Will this also work for xAP and xAK?

Yes, but the maxes are much lower depending upon nation.

Re: Air HQ Hierarchy and Aircraft Assignment

Trying to understand assigning aircraft to AIR HQs and also subordinate AIR HQs to higher HQs.

For the example below:

1st Marine Air Wing (AV36)
|
+--> 11th MAG (AV72)
+--> 21st MAG (AV72)

How does proper command work? Assign 72 aircraft to each Marine Air Group and 36 directly to the air ...

Re: Logistics

As RangerJoe said, you can use Tracker.

With time, you will develop routines and better hunches,

Take Abadan for example. You dump most of your British TKs there. You just need to haul fuel from Abadan to India. Drop fuel at Bombay and Karachi , and it will be distributed by the code in India ...

Logistics

I don't know how anybody else keep track of their logistics. I did have a notepad document of my routes and a spreadsheet where I tried to keep track of where my merchant shipping was and in what number but it soon became unmanageable.

I combined everything into one spreadsheet and I think it tells ...

Some Air and Naval Questions

1. I know this worked back in WITP but wondering if it still does in WITP:AE ... if you put ships in a task force and have them do donut cruises will that help them train up to the max non-combat level?

2. I was trying to put some better air commanders in my Marine Air HQs but, at 1942-02-08, there ...

Re: Advice Needed: Port Moresby

About Regiments and Divisions:
Inf. Rgts are relatively lightly armed but when 3 are combined into a Division the TOE changes and the Division gets Artillery, AA, Combat Engineers and/or Engineers and a Divisional HQ that shows up as more Support. I think there could be more Motorized Support as ...

That's obvious otherwise I wouldn't be asking this question. Could you please possibly explain it to me or direct me to a thread where it is explained?

Sorry, didn't mean to suggest "fault" to anyone, just letting you know how things work. That this is a custom mod using stock AI scripts changes everything. Not knowing what was changed, please ignore my entire response.

Supplying China via Air

Could supplies be delivered and (most importantly) dispersed if i set up an air corridor between Srinagar, India (near Rawalpindi in the Himalayas) and Kashgar, China? There's only a secondary road leading to either Urumchi and Ansi where main roads pick up.

I'm looking at setting up an air ...

Re: Advice Needed: Port Moresby

Doesn't the system have different scripts to choose from so the one you are playing today does not match the ones from 2012/13? Also I think there may have been some changes made to the scripts since then.

Welcome back.

I'm playing a custom scenario of my own. But, given that, I'm thinking ...

Re: Advice Needed: Port Moresby

PM is "nice to have" but not crucial to defence of Australia.

You can concede it if you feel you cannot defend it. Basically, defence plans for PM should be started immediately from start of war. Especially supply and also moving all units from PNG, Rabaul etc. there.

I was actually trying to ...
