Re: 9999 in unit date fields

If 9999 in arrival date means a unit doesn't arrive, does a 9999 in the unit's withdraw date mean it never withdraws?

Why would it? If you don't want it to withdraw don't put anything in it.

Thank you, but I’m asking specifically about game mechanics.

If in the Navy an HQ leader canalso command a TF, for the army/marines does it also mean an HQ leader can command a LGU?

Also can LGU leaders command SGUs?

Re: TOE Ranges

Took me a while to work out what you meant.

Your on about the location slots. Don't know is the answer but there is a clue that it leads to problems. From the editor manual

'Certain Locations must be left in their assigned slots as follows:'

Yes but what is mentioned are support squads and ...

Re: Suffix field in editor

@Dereck

Section 3.6.2. is titled " HQ or Ground Unit Attributes Only " so it does cover HQs as well.

The key sentence is "This drop down list will be different for each unit Type."

If you check in the editor, you will find that HQs have access for example to the suffix 46 Army and the suffix 49 ...

Re: Suffix field in editor

See section 3.6.2 unofficial editor manual.

This doesn't answer my question. The section you referred me to talks about units (such as battalions, brigades, etc) while in my original post I mentioned HEADQUARTERS so the question still stands:

Do suffixes matter for HEADQUARTERS or does 00-None ...

Suffix field in editor

I'm creating actual TOEs for HQs that don't have them in my scenario.

Does the suffix matter? I see a lot of HQ units (without a TOE) that have 00-None for the Suffix. Even a few US Air HQ TOEs use 00-none.

Another source says for TOEs the suffix matters and for HQs like a Command HQ the suffix ...

Re: HQ Type Field

I think Kull's answer from this thread is probably correct

https://forums.matrixgames.com/viewtopic.php?p=5136386&hilit=HQ+type+field#p5136386

My guess is it is just a stray data entry, an artifact, from the original scenario construction. Page 36 of the editor manual states it is not a ...

HQ Type Field

I'm seeing values in the HQ Type field that doesn't make sense and I can't find mention of in my old Editor Manual.

I thought the only HQ Types were 100 (Command), 0 (Corps), 20 (Naval), 30 (Amphib) and 50 (Air) yet I'm seeing values like the photo below of 221. I'm not sure what the 221 means and ...

TOE/Device Upgrade Question

I'm trying to understand device upgrades with regards to TOE usage and I'm being told something I don't exactly believe and would like to get clarification from here. For the following US infantry division TOEs"

2511-USA Infantry Div thru 420701 and uses 1101-USA Rifle Squad good thru 4207

I've been noticing the same thing. Unless logged in, the most active topics on the main board index show up as being dated from late May or early June. The time and date display in the upper right of the board seems to be stuck in the past as well. Maybe it's the Groundhog Day bug...

Thanks
