Re: Carried Over Supply

You mean like he made it possible for 150mm+ artillery in non artillery units capable of reducing fortifications?

Have no idea what you are talking about. Just trying to provide a solution.

Neither do I. But, when the Supply Module (next) is completed, we will have discrete supply ...

Re: Hierarchy Module Document

I've been stuck on this problem for a while: I found that the last version I posted couldn't read most older files. (Shown as bug #13 below). I've now got this fixed so that it can. Now I can finally get back to the legacy bugs.

In other words Eric's reply is: See Steel TIgers. Same verbage. That one has been on the back burner for such a long time the fire has gone out, the gas line has been disconnected and the house it was in has been torn down.

I don't think anybody has even coded anything on Steel Tigers yet. TOAW ...

Re: new supply rules: terrain effects on supply distribution

One aspect of supply distribution under the new supply rules to bear in mind is that clear (or arid) terrain gain no supply distribution advantage from roads ... unless mud or snow is present. Lesson here is that maps with lots of clear terrain hexes tend to easily distribute supply during fair ...

Re: Hierarchy Module Document

Seems to me these special units should be able to ignore zones of control while exerting none of their own.

To do SEALs right, at a minimum they would need five icons: Amphibious, Mountain, Airborne, Airmobile, and Guerrilla. Guerrilla probably should have some of the above. Someday.

But, just ...

Re: Hierarchy Module Document

Gotta have mountain ability to climb Major Escarpments on the coast.

If there are major escarpments on the coast, simple, don't land there.

If there are no geographical obstacles, SEALs aren't needed => the hex is a beach (anchorage). Just send regular infantry in a landing craft. For this ...

Re: Hierarchy Module Document

Nevertheless, I've never been happy with units disembarking into deep water hexes so I'm going to finally revise the game so that is no longer possible with one exception:
I'm going to allow it for what I'll define as "SEAL units": A unit with both the "Amphbious and Mountain Icons ...
