RE: Is disengaging via HQs or artillery a valid tactic?

<t> IMHO I think it would be more of a gain than a loss if this feature was removed. HQ and (especially) artillery active disengagement rule is just not right. But I also think the disengagement rule is to strong. It makes it looks like only recon units know how to pop smoke to get away. Maybe ...

They have the same "problem". Whether they choose to eat the costs, and provide a printed manual at the expense of greater profitability is a decision they make in accordance with their own particular business model.

RE: Printed Manual?

<t> I don't know… But they always say that it would cost them too much to have a printed manual for their games. But then I see games like Hearts of Iron II Doomsday and Civilization IV Warlords come out with a 150 page manual for their games that are 20 to 30 dollars that makes me wonder if they ...

Yeah… I notice that also if you place a unit in a hex with a defend order and ignore losses. They tend to move to another hex and dig in. I hope Ralph can fix this in the future.

<t> Hey Lava… your scenario looks very interesting and your tip guide sounds cool also. But you got to remember that there are three different AI settings, weak for beginners, moderate, and strong for experts. So please don't dumb down your scenario to much.<br/>

RE: PBEM Scenario Count

<t> I guess it all depends on your opponent. I had some good ones, and like right now I have some bad ones. The game that I'm in started off good when it was up in the air, but now that I'm dominating it I'm lucky if I get 5 turns in two months.<br/>

<t> I agree and the PBEM game that I'm playing now will probably be my last. I started a game in April and we are only on turn 15 now at the end of July. Talk about a boring and useless game. I forgot what the hell I wanted to do in this game about four or five times already.<br/>

I suspect that the deciding reason was that .14 fixed a definite problem, in that units did not reconstitute. .17 doesn't do anything that radical. It rebalances AA, and does some other things, like better document the scenarios. Many scenarios ...
