RE: Opponent Wanted

<r> I used to play very often and just was starting to play again.

I would love an opponent if you are up for it?

I am in Eastern Standard Time Zone USA. But, I am often on my PC and could turn several turns a day likely depending on how fast you wish to go.
Captured Rome on turn 4...?

<t> So, just wondering if this is legit and working as intended. Seemed rather simple and straight forward.

I adjusted landing zones in the grand campaign so that all my us forces landed north of rome by the lake Bolsena. I adjusted the british and canadian to land at Taranto. I used ...

45 Koenigsburg Defense vic cond failure

<t> I just finished the Konigsburg Defense mission (in the defense branch of the 45 pack)

I captured/held every victory location. And all but two or so of the non victory locales. At the turn mark 18 (end of scenario) it said I had a marginal victory.
The requirements were ...

seems odd that there is a massive war raging that they are involved with directly....with combat troops....then, POOF! No more attacking!

But cest la vie....

Leningrad falls to SU, Finns lose ability to attack?

<t> So I am still holding Leningrad in November 42 with the Finns. Basically all Germans are gone from the area.

The SU attack Leningrad proper and capture it. Now, all the Finn units cannot attack again.....seems really bizarre functionality...

Is this how it is supposed ...

Was it completed by an axis decisive victory? If not then someone surrendered and the game isn't "completed"

I've yet to see or read about a pbem completed....

Just saying. ;)

RE: determined outcome

<r> Not sure what the issue is really here. There is no guaranteed loss of men in blizzard. You can actually have zero theoretical losses due to winter if all divisions are in cities and/or west/south of the zone.

Since "conquering" Russia is effectively not possible given reasonable ...

For axis it has to be directly connected to German or Finnish net. You can repair outward from Finland/Leningrad without direct connection to berln

All rail doesnt have to be connected to Germany.

If Leningrad is captured then cut from the German rail net, you can build FROM the finnish rail outward.

just an FYI....

<t> Yeah, all Non zero towns are useful. Even sitting in a level one town all winter will mitigate 25 percent of the attrition (probabilistacally).
I like the idea of the square/diamond , etc shapes depicting the size. Good idea and detracts less from the map aesthetics.
What if you did the colors in order the way the game does identification?
Maybe a hollow circle for zero pop,
A black dot for one,
A green dot for two,
A yellow/orange dot for three
And a red dot for four
