It's also available from NWS Games:

I've used them in the past, and been very happy with their service.

RE: Christmas presents

Make sure the netbook supports 1024 x 768 resolution. Otherwise, it won't run AE.

I have an Asus EEE netbook with native 1024 x 600, and I have to mess with old video drivers to get it to display a squished 1024x768. AE does run on it though.

If the patch will enable scaling up to widescreen, will it also enable scaling down to, say, 1024x600, like for some netbooks?

RE: Hmm... why is Airfield Size used to calculate Fuel limit?

<r> Airfield and port size are the only two parameters that relate directly to the logistical capabilities of a base. One might reasonably expect that an inland base (zero port size) capable of supporting a lot of aircraft (large airfield size) would be a large base with facilities enough to store a ...

But the fact is that historically, they probably could move. If, e.g., Merak was going to fall, it's certainly plausible that elements of or the entire Merak BF would have been evacuated elsewhere.

Start a new scenario, and look at one of the briefing screens for the Guadalcanal scenario - it should tell you the start date and end date. I unfortunately cannot remember off the top of my head.

RE: Meeting TFs

I think when you set a second TF to "meet" a first TF, the second TF will sail to the destination of the first TF and meet it there. So, if the first TF is going to Lunga, the second "meeting" TF will sail to Lunga and wait.

Port size needs to be 9. Alternatively, have a sub tender present for torpedo reloads at ports of any size. Doesn't help with mines though.

It's not "you" versus "enemy", it's "owner of base" versus the other side. So, for an enemy base, it's enemy air power versus yours.
