TF was a single PF Mission Speed its Patrol Area was two points in a line between Midway & Aleutians - if that helps

I set up a picket line of PF, each had their own patrol zone, I checked on them and found that they had all run out of fuel - why, surely they would return to their home base when their fuel was running low?

I split a division into its three constituent parts, they are now all in the same hex, all in the same op mode there is no unpacking/packing going on, but I cant rebuild the division.

I heard somewhere that US TF are penalised if they contain more than one carrier up to a certain date at which point the penalty ceases reflecting them not having trained to operate cooperatively in the early part of the war.

What are the penalties, and when do they cease?
