RE: Hotkey storage

It just stores objects in space.

Click homeworld, hit Ctrl 1, now hitting 1 selects your homeworld, hitting 1 again zooms the camera to it.

Works, for ships, suns, etc.  Objects.

A(utomated) don't toggle, it's just enable it.

RE: 1.0.4.9. Automated exploration ships are utterly unefficient

I just tell them to explore sector at the start, working outward.  After they're out 2 or 3 sectors I automate them.

RE: constrution ships cannot repair damaged ships if able to move

Go back to 1.03.  Doing that has its own problems, but at least the ships do what you tell them to.

I'm hoping 1.05 is going to finally fix a lot of this.  (The changelog looks quite promising.)

I really can't compare DW to any other game really.&nbsp; It's in a class by itself.&nbsp; Now, that may be a good class or a bad class ...

I reported this a while ago, even uploaded a save game...

...until I realized a reload fixed it.

Have a feeling they're having a hard time locating that bug, seems random.

I came here from the Distant Worlds forum.&nbsp; Distant Worlds is a game much like this one, in that the game runs along, and you stick your nose in from time to time and tweak things here and there.&nbsp ...

Questions about giving orders in sequence

<t> Total noob here. Could not find this question answered anywhere, which makes me feel even dumber.<br/>

<t> For some reason, I just thought of an old game, I think it was Dark Reign, which was one of the first RTS's.&nbsp; They had just implemented control groups for the first time ever in an RTS, you could bandbox some units, hit Ctrl-1, from then on you hit 1 to select those units.&nbsp; Great idea ...

RE: I can't take it anymore!

Like I said in the original thread, they can make this ungodly complicated game, then they mess up on the little stuff.

I can't believe that the people beta testing this game didn't notice this.&nbsp; It truly is unbearable.

Ground Combat

<t> 1. This is gonna sound juvenile, but I don't care. I want to see the little guys shooting at each other. As it stands, ground combat consists of watching little pastries (that's what they look like, shrunk down so small, the default icons) fill up a bar, then disappear one by one. A dryer affair ...
