Re: Creating/Modifying Units

Thanks. I'm not taking replacements from RSV units so I don't think it was that. Was actually thinking they may be deserters. LOL

Any idea why I can only create infantry brigades and divisions? I'm thinking it is WAD since armor is locked to brigades/regiments, logistics to batallions, cavalry to ...

Creating/Modifying Units

Looking forward to RangerJoe's input as I have read his AAR. Of course anyone can chip in so don't be shy.

Have multiple loot depots(RSV) containing Requetes Squads playing as the Nationalists. Just started popping up all over the map. Some after combat and others.......well not sure where they ...

Using Captured Equipment

Messing around with captured equipment.

Understand the simple like a gun needs a caison or tractor. Where I get lost is how many wagons, pack animals, carts trucks and support squads need to be added to maintain unit efficiency. There are also many types of trucks with likely different capacities ...

Re: Casualty Counts and Regneration

I'm seeing the same thing. However, I attribute it to the pace that we play at and our understanding of AI opponent weaknesses. For example, I have found the long range Nationalist heavy artillery to be quite effective at piling up daily cashualties and the AI allows itself to be pocketed more than ...

Re: Division Size Units Not Moving

I have done the following to upload save files.

Look in the "save or load a game" menu for the wanted save. Save number is on the left side.

There is a save folder in your war in Spain installation folder. Copy out that save file to somewhere else and zip/compress it. My Windows 11 can do it ...

Re: Reinforcements

Manpower increases. I'm in March 37' (Nationalist) and have 211676 available. Haven't touched it and have not seen any production problems. As mentioned, manpower is not used in unit creation or casualty calculations. The Republicans would likely have run out of manpower several months ago since ...

Re: Division Size Units Not Moving

Am seeing the same behavior. Nationalist campaign so it is the de Badajos Division de Infanteria. Combined with the Interdencia member it is showing a huge deficit in support squads and other elements. The Italian Frecce Nere Brigata Mista is showing the same but also missing mucho transport. Had to ...

Re: CTD When clicking on Sevilla Location

March 1, 1937 turn has 2 more Seville units that CTD. Both part of the same organization above.

Re: CTD When clicking on Sevilla Location

Thanks for finding this.

I tried what you suggested and still crashed. However, I was letting the Seville units accumulate since I never thought to move them from the LCU list. It was then whack-a-mole to move individual units that might have a similar bug. Found 2.

22a Div. Bateria Antiaerea
22a ...

I probably won't.

Rather use the transport to ship wurst, brotchen, pilsner, schnapps and cigarettes to keep morale high. ;)

Static Unit Does Not Unlock

Nationalist Campaign - 29 January 1937 (Turn 196)

Ops report contains this message, but the unit remains static.

"Ground unit Com.de Ifni Division de Infanteria at 20, 212 ready to accept orders"

Re: Panzergruppe Bothe Withdrawal

Thanks.

Not much time to use it giving transport from Kiel. At best the unit will leave some devices in the pool when it withdraws.

Re: Mountain/Montana Units

Thanks. So pretty much any unit can modify their devices to emulate a mountain unit. Possibilities for PvP, but methinks the AI isn't going to do that.

Mountain/Montana Units

The Nationalists have a fair few Mountain/Montana Units. Some are the Batallon de Montana units and others are the Batallon de Cazadores from Morocco. Understand the general mountain penalties/bonuses in the manual. However, could not find anything specific to these units.

Are there any ...

Panzergruppe Bothe Withdrawal

Nationalist Campaign game. Bothe withdraws on January 12, 1937.

Curious on any insight why this unit leaves. Can't find anything on the Internet about the unit. Plenty about Von Thoma as part of the Condor Legion.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Unit Organization Questions

You may have more information than I do. My comments are based on what I see in the scenarios and the available Grand Campaign LCUs.

Example: Ebro scenario has a fully implemented Army => Corps => Division => Regiment/Brigade structure. You can see the full organization when selecting the Unit ...

Re: Unit Organization Questions

Did some testing and digging. By chance are you running the .51 Beta? I'm still unpatched.

If so, it is supposed to have fixed the LCU level OOB option. Setting independent is still supposed to be a one-way street according to a post in the patch thread.

Re: Unit Organization Questions

I didn't rename any units. There are many units including the legions that were renamed by the game. I'm thinking it is something to do with my organizational setup. Nothing seems to be linking to higher HQs.

Nope. Also the detached column has no option to change OOB.
