Great AAR, fun read, sorry you were cheated of your ultimate prize.

Hope to see the rematch.

Your HQs show a checker pattern, whereas the original counter just says “HQ”.

Re: Combat Attack Values Question

Weather, supplies, fatigue, and % TOE (how close to fully staffed and equipped the unit is) all feed into your combat value.

If you’re dealing with mud is murders your attacking power.
If you suffered a retreat, you might have taken a lot of casualties that deplete your TOE and reduces combat power ...

Re: Kobiyashi Maru III

I'm open to either side.
More interested in seeing the end result.

My first attempt at this scenario as the Soviets my opponent resigned after a few turns. I did use it as an opportunity to show that the current iteration of infantry motorization is overpowered, so I don't really blame the opponent ...

I wouldn’t recommend what you’re thinking. It won’t really be an enjoyable viewing experience, and you won’t be able to readily follow what is happening.

I’d suggest watching a YouTuber for insights and familiarization.

Game is huge fun, I’ve played the GG east front titles for decades, but I ...

I hope this AAR continues!
I’m sure a three player game takes a while to run.

Are the Americans in charge overall of the ground effort, or are you splitting ground operations by nationality/command chain?

Looking forward to seeing how aggressively the Axis contest the Med.

Good luck, and good ...

I feel the same overwhelming cliff when I want to dive into WitP Admiral’s edition.

How do you feel the two games compare?

I'm afraid I couldn't compare them, as I haven't even started WitP. Just owned it for a while, and intend to scratch the itch some day.

Oh dear me. This has just confirmed why I will never play this game.
I bought it on release a year ago, together with the 500 page doorstop manual.
At least I have an unusual doorstop.

Re: How much time do you take to do your WITE2 turn? (German version)

I usually have to break my turn up over a few days because of the narrow gaming window.
It provides me some time to dwell on what I want to do, but I also spend some time pulling screenshots before, during, and after for AARs that definitely end up making things take longer. Much goes to the cutting ...

Re: Panzerball - a GC 41 case study

Can you clarify if the game is still going? I wasn’t sure if you started updating because your opponent did start doing turns again, or because you are assuming it is over.

It hasn’t been saved since I sent the last turn. I’m afraid it is done, hence the last gif.

Anyway, this game seems very ...

A further useful stratagem to help supply a little is the Nikolaev run
There is a rail bottleneck between Odessa and Nikolaev. It's a short run by air and a perfect rout for those otherwise useless Go 266 (or whatever they are) which have a range of only 100 miles or so. Both airports are level 3 ...
