The list lacks one important item. Are you single or retired?

Neither, but I have an awesome wife who often says, "Go play your computer games and leave me on my couch!" [:D]

Am I ready for JPN vs Allies (AI)

<t> Hey all,<br/>
<br/>
A big thanks to XRTG and Harplonked for reinvigorating my interest in playing WiTP-AE. While I have been a long time member and have played many games of WITP, I don't think I ever actually played AE GC before.<br/>
<br/>
So, I have taken the advice of this forum and I ...

Submarine Tracker Tool?

I came across the mentioning of a "Submarine Tracker Tool" in an old AAR. Does this exist? Searches of the forum turned up nothing. Any idea? Thanks!

Back in the saddle

<t> Hello all! It's been a number of years since I decided to dust off WiTP:AE. I am easing back into it with some south Pacific scenarios.<br/>
<br/>
I will soon delve into a full campaign and I had a question about the current mods out there.<br/>

Are there any "Must Have" mods? Are ...

I done did it!

<t> Hey all!<br/>
<br/>
Well I've been watching this release for years. I have never played the board game but I am a long time fan of Avalon Hill/Victory Game releases and I've read nothing but good things about this game.<br/>
<br/>
I am just going on record for saying that I am putting my ...

RE: Advertising!?

<t> Well I am not sure how this works. Would the creators be interested in talking to some youtubers? I am subscribed to a few (who have a hefty subscriber count) who comment and discuss strategy games, popular board games or detailed survival games. <br/>
<br/>
I don't know them personally, but I ...

Advertising!?

<t> Hello all,<br/>
<br/>
So I spent some time reading threads on this forum and I never knew that this game was a labor of love by one person (plus additional assistance). An extraordinary accomplishment!<br/>
<br/>
My question is, what is being done to advertise this amazing product? I ask ...

RE: Don’t buy this game if…..

<r> As a LONG time Matrix Aficionado, Avalon Hill lover and owner of WITP:AE plus other granular micro-management games (Dwarf Fortress anyone?), I have been watching this development for a long time, even though I have NEVER played WiF.<br/>
<br/>
However, I desperately want this game because it ...

<t> You get that in any service. Competition is so great for the officer corps that you see them try to do anything in order for distinction. <br/>
<br/>
I see it all the time out here, random changes for no apparent reason just so officers can list accomplishments on their Evaluation report. <br ...

RE: Widescreen mode - screenshots too big now?

Or you can just Microsoft paint.

Right click on the picture. Open with MSPaint. On the tool bar go to Image -->Stretch/Skew and set to the stretch to 25-50% it will shrink it by that size.

<t> Geez, what's wrong with a single thread debating our beloved WWII? It's not like it's flooding the AE discussion. The AE board has some of the most passionate and informed WWII historians I've come across. I say leave the thread be.<br/>

Frankly I think that the naming rights of ships should be sold to corporations to help pay for the budget! I want to see the USS Mountain Dew! :)

Sadly, how far away are we from doing that?

It seems to me that it is not an issue of "hyper-realism" vs "playability." Rather, realism can still be achieved with some degree of abstraction, something that the UV-WitP-AE series has been woefully lacking in. For instance, tracking ...
