RE: Army Defence Battalions

<t> The army defence battalions were composites of several other army units to form garrison forces similar to marine defence battalions. A total of 3 were raised and shipped to the combat zone. Each one had a 1 or 2 90mm batteries, 1 Semi automatic AA btty of either the 37 or 40mm aa guns and a ...

RE: Naval Aircraft for CHS and RHS and 1.8

Actually they are not there.

No muliple f6f types or Helldiver types

Also I forgot the Vindicator Dive Bomber

With the Tigercat I listed earlier that leaves 22 aircraft out of 30 slots (if I counted right)

Can the Brits be done in 8 slots?

RE: The "Official" scoop on LB30's, B24's, etc.

<t> Excellent, finally a real approach. In the the CHS I have a bunch of squadrons with Lb-30's<br/>
and I am saying WTF!!!!. <br/>
<br/>
Still would having a bomber version with no production be ok. B-24D will surely be available soon enough to replace the 3 squadrons that would be equipped with ...

RE: WitP Wish List

Actually Marine defense battalion split to become both the aa battalions and marine corps artillery. As they stand now, only the 155 guns and the tanks would be withdrawn. No real need to change them then.

RE: Naval Aircraft for CHS and RHS and 1.8

Is it possible to get Midway carriers?

I know stats exist but do they ever come in?

If so, the F7F Tigercat is needed also.

Naval Aircraft for CHS and RHS and 1.8

<t> Sorry if this has been talked about before. As I pour over the formums I see countless arguements reguarding carrier aircraft slots (If I understand this properly, the database has a finite number of slots for carrier capable aircraft. Also the CHS created several more hard coded slots). <br ...

RE: LB-30's

<t> Actually, it appears that a few unarmed b-24A models where at Pearl Harbor. From what I read, they where supposed to fly a long range recon mission over the Marshall's either Kwajelien or Entiwetok. They where to stage through either Midway or Wake. They were destroyed on the ground on Dec 7 ...

RE: Any requests for Allied Aircraft?

Are we ever going to see a PB4y2 Privateer? Having a heavily armed, lower flying, longer ranged naval plane would be nice.

Also, what about the F-7 liberator recon for really long range photagraphy.

<t> Sorry if this has been mentioned already.<br/>
<br/>

Two seperate sources I have seen mentioned that the AAF comandeered 75 back from the brits right after Pearl Harbor. 29 Eventually went back to the Brits or never saw any form of US ...

Western Convoys Refueling at Pearl Harbor

<t> I have a large portion of British AK at Karachi on Auto Convoy duty. I understand that auto convoys out of that port handle the Western Portion of the map(lets say the India to the Philipines).<br/>

Why do these convoys sail to Pearl to refuel?<br/>

Most of the convoys head to ...

Full Strength Air Units

<t> Earlier I had posted a question about airgroups not expanding past 50 planes, reguardless of planes in the pool. I was told to split the units. That worked like a charm. However, medium bomber units have 64 planes (4 squadrons of 16). When split 3 ways to build, the group only grows to 3 ...

Different Screens in Combat Animation for bombing targets. Whether you bomb an airfield, a port, or an infantry division, the picture is the same, the small jungle type harbor. How Boring!. See if you can spruce up what's in the ole bomb site.

Forming Battalion Landing teams

<t> I was curious if the developer could a few more unit breakdowns to the program. As I best understand, Division size LCU can be broken down into 3 sub units or brigade designated as XXdivison/a b or c.<br/>
Also, independent brigades can be split in 2. Would it not be possiible to have the ...

Air group size

<t> I have several air groups siting at Pearl harbor including a 2 bomber groups and a fighter group. Even tough I have plenty of spare aircraft of the types in the groups, the groups won't expand past 50 planes. I have the accept replacement set properly and the groups sizes are 64 and 72 ...

<t>I agree with the last writer on this thread. Spare or replacement aircraft to isolated bases does need to be considered. When the 67th Fighter Squadron was sent to New Caledonia in early 42, the had IIRC 47 or 52 crated P-400 (the export version of the P-39). Anyway, the TO&E of a Figher Squadron ...
