PDF Rules?

Mark, are the full v.2 rules available as a PDF? I'm getting together with some old gaming buddies this summer, and LnL BoH is on our playlist. I'd like to get them copies of the rules beforehand so they don't have to waste valuable gaming time reading the rules.

RE: Release 3: In Development.

Here's my vote for a more accurate sim mode. And if you do put in a financial model, PLEASE make it optional. I hate dealing with contracts, salaries, etc.

RE: NFL uniforms

Thanks, frunky. It looks like people have created most of them already. I'm sure it won't be much longer before they're all available.

NFL uniforms

I know that it's an enormous amount of work, but is anyone working on making the complete set of NFL uniforms?

RE: Camera Angles

I'd love a fixed overhead view. For me, that's the best view for really understanding why plays failed or succeeded. Very often, what players are doing away from the ball determines a plays outcome. That's the only view I ever used when playing FPS Football.

RE: front page football 98

<t> I played FBPro 97 until I wore out a hard drive many years ago. I would still be playing it except that the draft was horribly broken and made the career mode pretty much unplayable after a few seasons. The quality of the new players in the draft was nowhere near what they needed to be in order ...

RE: Celebrating 100k hits and 755 days of war!

<t> First of all, congrats on the 100k hits! [&o] I've been following this AAR since it started and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I haven't posted with any advice or comments because even though I bought this game the day it came out, I've still never played it. [:(] Even though I was a huge PacWar ...

RE: Dumb question from an MF non-follower

<t> You're really dating yourself with the 'Scrimmage' reference! You must be a fellow OG. (Old Gamer or Old Guy - your choice[;)]) But yeah, I remember 'Scrimmage'. An interesting but deeply flawed game if memory serves. I was playing a game with a non-football fan friend of mine, and he asked me ...

RE: arcade & simulation

<t> David - Don't worry about the arcade mode! There's never been any shortage of arcade-style football games. There hasn't been a decent coaching-style football SIM since the FPS series died many years ago. You're filling a need with your sim - if people want to play arcade football, let 'em play ...

RE: Display suggestion

<t> Yeah, that would work too. But the reason I suggested the color coding thing was I figured that would be a lot easier for Shaun to code because the exixting ball travel line is already able to display different colors. I thought that maybe it would be something he could easily implement, and ...

Display suggestion

<t> I realize that this is basically a text game, but I have a suggestion for something I think would make the game more immersive. I think the graphic that shows where the ball went should be color coded to show what kind of hit it was instead of just the flashing red and blue. For example - one ...

My closer

<t> This is making me nuts! [:@] My closer has 84 stuff, 86 velocity and 85 control. Should be awesome, right? Well, here's his stats through his first 3 appearances this season - IP=2.1, H=9, ER=6, HR=1, L=1, BS=2, and (ready?) an ERA of 23.14!!! All 3 appearances have been with him starting the ...

RE: Training a player for a new position

I just answered my own question. You can force a player in the minors to play a specific position by using the 'player usage settings' to lock that in until you change it.

Training a player for a new position

<t> OK, here's my situation - I've found myself in a position where I have an over-abundance of good players at 2B, 3B and SS, but don't have a decent hitting 1B. So it occurs to me to train one of those 'extra' infielders to play 1B and thereby solve both problems. I send the player I want to train ...

RE: What to buy BiN or BiI?

<t> Hmmm, there's not much noticable difference between the 2 games engine-wise. I think the main difference is that BiI supports bigger maps and more units so it allows larger mods that BiN - like the monster east front mod in beta at Run 5. There are plenty of downloadable scenarios available for ...

Bugs?

<t> When I loaded a saved game, the sound and music were back on even though all the sliders were still set to off. I moved the sliders as a test, but they had no effect whatsover. The sliders moved but it didn't change any of the sound at all. Also in the same saved game, my starships started using ...
