RE: Use of LCI(G)

<t> Wow, someone actually remembered my posts about landing support craft not working. <br/>
<br/>
Feinder, you have been conducting almost the same tests I did many months ago and have received the same results and discovered a few new theories; like the 2 rounds of surface to surface combat. The ...

I’ve been doing more testing on the invasion support ships (LCI(R), ect…) and have found if I increase the 5” rocket range I actually get them to fire, suppress the defenders and help out the ...

CHS question - Panama Canal

<t> With the addition of the Panama Canal on the extended map, why do so many ships still enter the game in San Fran? Some of the early war reinforcements from the Atlantic like the carriers come through but what about the later war ship builds? A few examples: New Jersey was laid down and launched ...

RE: Bombing Midway from French Frigate

<t> In the attached photo, what level of base would this represent? Level 1 would be my guess, just a landing strip not a level 3 or 4 airbase by any stretch of the imagination. With enough engineers you can build up a 0/0 dot to a nice base able to support combat ops. In the picture they just ...

RE: 5" rocket range on LSM(R)

<t> Over the last year I’ve conducted tons of test using both the tutorial scenario and my ongoing allied v AI game. I even felt compelled to post this observation more then 12 months ago. The final verdict from the Mods was: “works as designed.” Short, sweet and vague as usual. I continued to play ...

5" rocket range on LSM(R)

<t> Can anyone tell me the range of the 5” rockets fired out of the MK30 and MK36 launchers mounted on LSM(R) type ships. The real range (supported by a google search or real world experience) not the info listed in the database in WiTP. I’m completely unconvinced any of the allied invasion support ...

RE: Japanese carrier born bombers not flying and using to many sorties.

<t> Save sent. <br/>
The workaround is very careful management of your carrier’s bombers. Only send out CVs with fully manned Daitai and hopefully you will notice any under manning in time to set that Daitai to stand down until you can fill it up with new pilots. Otherwise your CV will be out of ...

LCU disappearing during Air Transport

<t> By now the LCU disappearing during air transport bug should be know and a way to limit its occurrence is also out there.<br/>

It had happened in my current game and I kept track of what units disappeared and where. After clearing out the bases I notices some squads, engineers and ...

Japanese carrier born bombers not flying and using to many sorties.

<t> If the number of pilots is less then the total number of bombers in the Daitai, no missions (combat or search) are performed at all. I used pilot fatigue to indicate a pilot flew for the day no matter if it was a combat mission and/or search mission. In addition, if this Daitai’s intended ...

At the present time adding these rocket-equipped ships to your invasion is only a good idea because it gives the shore guns more targets to shoot at besides the ...

Fix for aircraft weapons data corruption?

<t> Playing scn 15 started under 1.1 patched up to 1.4. Is there a fix for the aircraft weapons data that gets corrupted and shows things like forward firing 500 pound bombs, external (XT) .303 machine guns or top turret mounted torpedoes? Could I reinstall and patch back to 1.4 or are ordnance and ...

I'll refine my guess.
Dauntless Mk I (9 built), that was a version of the SBD-5 for the British Fleet Air Arm.

Something about this photo just screams commonwealth or British. The painted numbers or letters on the fuselage, the air gunners cloths and helmet. I’m probably wrong.

<t> The closest non malaria base with good support and supplies. In the central pacific, early on is Pearl, Kwajalein once I take it, then Guam for closer to Japan. In the south Noumea even though it is farther away. In the SW, Oz is the place; plenty of beer and the natives are rather nice also[:D ...

RE: Couple game mechanics questions...

<t> I also have noticed that the number of supplies listed for a unit in a non-base hex is the same no matter where on the map the unit is. My number is a little different at 100621, but from turn to turn it does not change at all. If this is supposed to show I’m being supplied from some far off ...
