RE: Informal Poll - Pilot Fatigue and Morale

<t> Also the number of damaged planes and repair rate are dependent on aviation support, the number of planes that need to be repaired at the base. I also think that size of base and available supply should also influence that as well. When the game models the number of aircraft that fly I think ...

RE: Small/quick/simple idea how to restrict land based bomber torpedo attacks...

<t> Brad I understand the current requirement for airbase size and LB's, what I suggested was that for LB torpedo attacks that it would need to be a base similiar to the requirement for ports to arm subs with torpedos or to have a special support unit present to do so. If you are at a lvl 4 airbase ...

RE: Small/quick/simple idea how to restrict land based bomber torpedo attacks...

<t> Right now there is a requirement to arm subs in the game or place mines on a minelayer based on port size or auxilary on site. The same could be done for torpedo planes, either you are at a very big airbase or you have a specialized air support group at a base for it to work. The specialized air ...

RE: The all seeing eye of Glen

<t> Another option and also a coding one, would be that these sub based Glen's could not be repaired on subs and would have to be repiared at an airbase the sub was docked at. This would still require micro-manage of these assets, since their default would be to not fly. The rate of service damage ...

RE: Desperate or Brilliant? RUPD3658 don't read

In the screenshot that is a 39 plane squadron with 25 pilots, all of those pilots are the original pilots with that squadron, no new pilots have been added or very few. I don't see how that is a problem.

RE: AR`s

<t> There also needs to be available support for an AR to do its work. Ports smaller than a size 3 would not have those available. Just like airbases of size 4 can support multi engine bombers better than a size 3 can or why fighters operate reasonably better at a size 2 compared to a size 1 airbase ...

RE: Cap Coverage question

<t> I think that coordination would also apply to cap coverage as well. With that many carriers in a single task force it is possible that it failed its coordination roll and only a few fighters responded to the attack. You could divide your carrier task force into smaller units and have each task ...

RE: Air Combat Mod with test results

<t> Very interesting read and test results. I think the reason why the time period for the test is outside of the bonus time for the Zeroes is to insure that the test results are not influenced by that bonus. What is desired is to be happy with results at base and during the early period when the ...

Also Allied pilots would be cycled back to training bases to give training of new pilots so they would not have to learn those skills in combat. It is also one of the reasons why German pilot skill was pulled down over the war as well.

RE: How is that???!!!

Quality of damage done. Some hits are really bad and some not so, varies with ordance used and the quality of the hit vs the target. Sounds like a very lucky torp hit there. Remember, the Argentine cruiser sunk by the British during the Falkend Islands' war with a single torpedo as well.
