RE: The Paced Game - Japan AAR Thread

<t> Only after posting my first AAR did I discover that it was not a "feature" to allow one to restart a turn to "optimize" it. This is my first PBEM game, looks like I made a blunder in my first turn of my first game -- point well taken aletoledo -- it won't happen again!<br/>

The Paced Game - Japan AAR Thread

I am taking the manual's advice and going after coastal China with everything I have in Turn 1. I've positioned every unit of my airforce now in coastal china, and I was able to ...

Feature Req: Arrow keys for map scrolling

<t> I'd love it if in the patch, the arrow keys on keyboard scroll the map.<br/>
<br/>
Reason:<br/>
My laptop is 1900x1200 resolution. Game looks ugly full screen, so I'm trying windowed mode.<br/>
<br/>
Problem is scrolling the map -- I have to go all the way to my screen edges to get it to ...

RE: Memory leak????

after playing for 5 hrs last night, i did have hd whirring a lot, which slowed the game, and then i crashed due to the 64 unit thing, my computer had 1140M committed which is a lot more than i've seen from any game (my RAM is 768MB)

planned to play for an hour or two, ended up playing for 5 hrs last night

<t> Warning: Don't start the big campaign and expect to just play a few turns before going to bed. I ended up going to bed only after, as Soviets, I held off the German invasion, and finally pushed them back west to meet up in Western Europe with the coming from the West and South to stack up all ...

I'll play too -- are you thinking we use Advanced Supply yet? That scares me a bit - I made enough mistakes without it so far (but I'm willing to confront my fears!) [;)]

RE: EB Games (World at War backordered)...

<t> I think the bottom line is the hardcore lurkers like myself will do DD -- I support the retail strategy as a way to gain far more exposure for the game to the larger gamers market.<br/>

Now my question is how much later than 11am or noon EST would I forgive a delayed posting of DD ...

RE: Anyone find it at retail yet?

heh I've called around a bit too -- my local EB Games says they have that it'll be in stores 3/26 in their computer, so they expected it might come in overnight -- but I didn't sense a whole lot of certainty in his voice

RE: Where and When to Get World At War

<t> I called my local Gamestop yesterday, the clerk said he didn't think they would stock it, that it seemed "obscure." He said if I pre-order it, that would trigger them to get a copy for me in their store (I'm in Cincinnati, Oh) -- question is to Matrix, will most Gamestop retail shops get copies ...

Best game from Matrix?

As I await GGWaW, I have been perusing the other games avail from Matrix, considering grabbing another one... Is there a consensus "best game so far" from Matrix?
