RE: Argentina vs. USA: Aurorus (J) vs. Apbarog (A)

<t> Could the Leander and co still be lurking in the area? Or perhaps merely the fear of them is affecting the TF commanders. [:)] I wonder if there was something big backing up the CLs that was never spotted, and is on the move again trying to coordinate with the Marshalls threat. <br/>

<r> Will you commit any LBA or real warships / carriers to try to oppose these latest invasions?&nbsp; I mean, reading your AAR one would think the allies didn't actually have any LBA (other than one group of marauders) or carriers at this point, but I'm pretty sure that's actually not the case ...

RE: Ending an IJ wet dream - bluebook (J) vs castor troy (A)

<t> I think bluebook made a mistake hitting Singapore with so many regiment-sized infantry units. They always seem to take severe losses and perform poorly in big battles. If you notice, on the last hit he finally snuck in a fourth full division (5th Div). If he'd had four or five full divs instead ...

RE: Pearl Harbor Flak

<t> If you like flak you may want to try out the Babes mods. Last time I started up a BabesLite game I left the Zeros on 100 ft sweep at PH, and lost a good dozen (~30%) to flak (day 1). Naval strikes on ships at sea can be a lot more painful too, saw a couple cargo ships shoot down 4 Nells on ...

When I look at this model as a practical interceptor I always wonder if the poor climb rating compared other options reduces its effectiveness.&nbsp; I see this test was at 7k - is that a typical altitude for 4E bombing runs?

RE: 75 Political Points for 1E LB -> 2E LB

<r> Thanks for the replies michaelm and all. I'm not familiar with the allied side but I can see how costs associated with upgrades to 4E bombers makes sense. I do appreciate the flexibility the whole system now has for changing between types when you want to and the tradeoff is worth it. <br/>

75 Political Points for 1E LB -> 2E LB

<r> As one might surmise from the title, I dislike the rule change that made many formerly free IJA level bomber upgrades from 1 engine models to 2 engine models now cost 75 political points for each group. I think this is especially silly for the 12 plane chutai groups. You could change 30 or 40 ...
