18. The patch was spotted by a reconnaisance flight, but since no speed or direction was sent back, no one has been able to locate it since. :D :p

I agree!

<t>There are a lot of good ideas here! I hope some, if not most, are implemented in WITP. I don't know about the "Zone of Control" idea, but I do think that all the little islands and beaches should be nuetral until occupied. There is no reason to have to order an attack if you have reconed the area ...

Proof?

<t>Has anyone showed proof, like harbor manifests or repair logs, that show that the UV repair rate is indeed too slow? Maybe they have and I have missed the posts, but everywhere else, folks quote websites, veterans, or books that back up their position.<br/>

Direct X 9.0 Compatability?

Just heard that Microsoft released Direct X 9.0 today. If I upgrade, do I risk breaking UV? Has anyone tried it yet?

Excellent suggestions Joe!

With WITP being so big, screens like this become even more important to have. Please try to move creation of these types of screens up on you list of priorities for WITP, Matrix. (Said respectfully.)

Thanks!

Easy To Use Interface Essential

<r>I am very much looking forward to this game! However, I am concerned that the grand scale which will be the game's greatest asset will also be it's biggest problem. Some folks may just feel too overwhelmed by all there is to control over so much territory. <br/>

<t>Geez Eric, you should know by now that Matrix wouldn't "rush" a patch just to have it out before a holiday weekend. The patch is very good and very stable. I'm sorry it has slowed your gameplay down so much, but it appears you are the exception not the rule.<br/>

Actually, if you wait just a little longer, the next batch of games direct from Matrix will be made with Version 2.0 so you won't have to download any patches immediately. Unknown how much longer you will have to wait though. (Couple weeks?)

<r>Ok, Eric. I'll bite. I agree with you, but I don't think it's a gamebreaker. Unrealistic?...yes. Do I hope they include a way to fix it in War In The Pacific?...yes. Do I expect a fix for UV....no.<br/>

Great News!

Ross,

Can't wait for that update/patch!

Knowing Matrix, they have used these "extra" weeks in October to provide us with some extra goodies. I'm very much looking forward to the announcement. I hope it's released for the weekend!

Combined Patch 1.5?

<t>I have patched thru every version of UV, but for those who are just buying the game or have to reinstall for any reason, I'm wondering....<br/>

2. A combined patch that gives all updates ...

<t>Sorry, Andrew.<br/>

Matrix has stated that they will not make the manual available for a download direct from them. You will have to purchase the game or many have pleaded on these boards to have someone send them a zipped copy via email. Your best bet would be to try that route.<br/>
