RE: Ship Definition Question

Are you playing Japanese side with production on? You might not have enough Naval shipyard points to build that vessel and therefore the arrival date is not counting down.

Just a thought, because it happened to me once before I figured it out.

RE: Ongoing Air and Naval Combat tweaking

Interesting clue about the manuever ratings. I haven't tried raising them for all the fighters across the board, but maybe i'll give it a try when I got time.

Thanks fo rthe tip.

Ongoing Air and Naval Combat tweaking

<r> Hi All,<br/>
I've been watching the Forum for about a year now and put in my 2 cents about once every 3 months or so. I notice that the bloody air combat routines are giving people some trouble. I think that it needs to be fixed along with the naval combat routine and ship hits/damage.<br ...

It’s just about raw processor power and memory (using swap file slows down). <br/>
<br/>
I’ve had 3-6 secs delay before 1.4, now it is 6-9, sometimes 15 secs. Looks like it depends on the amount of ships checked.<br/>

Traing Ship Crews

<t> They realy have to do something about the "training Ship Crews"<br/>
step. I'm midway through 1942 in my custom campaign, and it takes about 90+ seconds for this step to finish. Booooriiiinnnng!!!! I think this step should be modified, either only combat ships to be trained, or do the training ...

I still haven't got mine from many many months ago when the game was first released. I suppose I should tell someone. Good thing I have A CD burner to copy the download to.

WINDOWS XP or 98SE

<t> I'm thinking about upgrading to Windows XP from Windows 98SE which I currently have installed. The game seems to run pretty quick during combat resolution phases, but there seems to be quite the wait during the "training ship crews" phase. Can I assume it's because of the multitude of ...

What's up with the Ohka guided bomb?

I have 80+ Ohka bombs in the production pool. How do you use them and load them on G4Me Betty bombers. I check the aircraft data screen for the airgroups, but they don't show the bomb as a carried weapon. any clue? anyone?

Naval ship combat and damge

<t> There seems to be something amiss in the combat routine for ship to ship combat. Battleship guns are too powerful, and ships are too weak. after doing alot of testing, I find that BB's will sink after <br/>
5-12 hits for other BB main guns (18in,16in,14in,etc.). This is historically inaccurate ...

RE: Damaged aircraft repair rates!

<t> Actually the worst part is that I experience slow repair rates with single engine planes like divebomber, fighters, etc. I can understand a long turnaround cycle for B-17's, B-29's etc. but I think that they should speed up repair rates for smaller A/C. They should also take into consideration ...

Damaged aircraft repair rates!

<t> I bought the game since it came out months ago, have applied all patches up to 1.3. The damn planes still won't repair fast enough.<br/>
I have 800 AVN squads at the base, but squadrons only repair a few<br/>
A/C a day. Is this a bug, or on purpose. If so, it should be changed in the upcoming ...

I was amazed by how much damage those ships could take before going

Your right, The Convoys are heading from San Fran to Hollandia, Biak, and Madang and vice versa.

Hope they fix it in a patch.

AI a little on the stupid side

<t> Playing Campaign 1944, as Japan. I have over 300 A/C on Truk.<br/>
The Allied AI keeps sending weak or unescorted AK and AP TF's within 2-4 hexes of my base. Needless to say, I'm pounding the crap out of them. Their needs to be some way for the AI to fear Air zones, so they don't keep sending ...

RE: How do I stop the AI from supplying certain bases?

Sounds like you have the base set to "automatic convoy".
Click on the Russell Island hex to bring up its main base screen.
In the bottom left corner you see "automatic convoy" in yellow clicicking on it toggles it on/off. make sure its off, and AI won't send anymore supplies to it.
