<r> <QUOTE><s>[quote]</s>WiTP AI also cheats... <br/>

While I agree that WiTP has more variables than CiV III, the map on WiTP is fixed, so a lot of stuff is known in advance (like "go for SRA"). <br/>

<r> <QUOTE><s>[quote]</s>Well I guess toy soldiers, Risk, and Stratego don't really count:) considering I had been playing with the former since I was knee high to a grasshopper. As for a real bonafied board wargame, I reckon the first I tried was a WWI type. I think it was called Guns of August or ...

<r> you have a limit on Air support already...<br/>
<br/>
50 aircraft per SPS<br/>
<br/>
A/c support UP TO 250 any more is a waste (I personally think this should go to 500 for size 10 airfields)<br/>

I dont have an exact number, but let's remove the stacking limit idea as that is a ...

<r> what about taking out the engineers in non-engineer units ? reducing some of the engineers overall (for everyone), and making the seebees larger then most as they were specialized in doing what is discussed here. Look at Lugna they managed to get the airstrip operational (dont have the dates) in ...

RE: Repost of my frustration on support thread

<r> While looking at the Japaneese, did you look at their reinforments and pools of a/c ? Perhaps if the AI is low (at a certain point) it doesn't fly those planes until the pool is increased ? Just a thought to all this.<br/>

<t> you will see your torpedoes load decreased and a new load of "mines" depending on the sub, if your torpedoes load is NOT red (ie low on ammo), and you do not see a mine listed on the load, then you need to do what others have mentioned, find a level 9 port and get some MLE's there. (also ...

RE: ASW aircraft patrols

<r> but isn't asw 1/2 range ? so lets say the allied float plane (range 3), can search out to range 1 ? for asw, SBD's range 5 can search to range 2-3 (better), but b-17/pby/with ranges of greater then 10+ can search out 5-7 hexes, a much better chance to find and hopefully hit a sub ?<br/>

<t> using the "recon" planes vs others able to "search", they have listed, Recon, Naval Search. to add to the questions, would any other plane be better at naval search then a recon plane ? or both are equal at determining DL ? a float plane that detects a surface contact is the same as a recon ...

RE: For PBEMers - How do you handle these 2 situations (exploits?) -

<t> have you reduced the range of the a/c on naval attack ? I have found that reducing the range on bettys and zeros will get much better results then letting them search 21 hexes to find something (same with carriers, will place fighters the same range as the bombers, giving a more compact cap ...
